Once the tea is steeped you turn it back up and you can pop open the lid and drink from it. The tea leaves do not continue to infuse. Many customers will use the tea leaves more than once. Just add hot water and steep again. You can also use the Trio as a tea brewer. Put the tea leaves with hot water into the tumbler. Let it steep and then pour it into a mug. The two-way filter will not allow the tea leaves to exit into your drink. Great for travel, desk and sport. We recommend hand wash for this item.
