Introcan Safety® 3 is a peripheral IV catheter with a passive fully automatic needlestick protection and multi-access blood control septum that helps to protect clinicians and patients from blood exposure.
It is a single-use device to generate intravascular and tissue access to sample blood, monitor blood pressure, or administer fluids and blood intravascularly. Introcan Safety® 3 is also indicated for subcutaneous infusion therapies and 300 psi power injector applications (18G – 24G).

The device can be used for all patients for which infusion therapy is prescribed. No gender or age related limitations. Introcan Safety® 3 can be used for adults, pediatrics and neonates.

Advantages

Passive Safety Shield – A passive fully automatic protection helps eliminating needlestick injuries and related infections. It deploys automatically, cannot be bypassed and requires no user activation 1,2

Multi-access blood control septum – helps to prevent blood exposure during catheter insertion and while disconnecting a device from the catheter hub 3

Integrated Stabilization platform – sophisticated catheter securement helps to reduce catheter movement and related complications 4,5,6

Double Flashback Technology - Confirms that both needle and catheter capillary are inside the vessel. First needle flash confirms needle is in vein, second catheter flash confirms catheter is in vein.

Universal Back Cut Bevel – Allows for a wide choice of insertion angles and is designed for minimal puncture trauma7

Radiopaque Stripes - For a good visibility of the catheter capillary under X-Ray

Power Injectable – Pressure rated for contrast media application at 300 psi (18G – 24G)

                  Best way to explore Paris

                  This book is awesome! I enjoyed reading it just as much as my kids did! I love the layout and the way that the book assigns the kids to be secret agents, but defers to the case officers (parents) for the final say. We were in Paris for 1 week and although the weather was less than cooperative, we were able to capture our 100 points and award our 4yo and 7yo their secret agent certificates. I love the fact that you can work on this book in any order and do as little or as much as you want at each attraction. The price was awesome and worth every penny. My 7yo particularly enjoyed the challenges at the Musee D'Orsay and the Louvre and it was a great way to keep those visits focused and entertaining for the kids. My 4yo was a little young to stay engaged with every "mission", but the activities were easy enough that she could help (ex. finding a winter scene in the Musee D'Orsay). I loved that this book engaged the kids but didn't detract from any of our visits (we didn't feel like we had to go "out of our way" to find anything). The only disappointment was that they didn't include Versailles and Sainte Chappelle. I have not only recommended this book to all my of friends traveling to Paris (honestly with or without kids), but I have also already purchased the similar books for London, New York, and Washington DC. Can't wait to see what other cities they add!

You get to set points for a few things so the mission is completely attainable no matter what you do in the city AND you can set points for adventurous things your kiddos might not otherwise do... eg I got my 4 year old to try escargot!
