A bright, confident red with everyday versatility, the Robert Oster Fire Engine Red 50ml Ink Bottle delivers clear, readable marks that stand out without overpowering the page. It is a spirited, true red that suits annotations, headers, and daily journaling as readily as personal correspondence.

Color & Character

Fire Engine Red offers a clean, lively crimson tone with a balanced hue that avoids drifting too orange or too blue. Expect a touch of natural shading on broader nibs and more absorbent papers, while fine nibs render a solid, consistent line that remains legible at a glance.

Writing Performance

This water-based, dye-based fountain pen ink flows smoothly and rinses cleanly from most pens. It cooperates well with a wide range of papers; dry times will vary by nib size and paper coating. While not waterproof, it is reliable for everyday notes, planners, and color-coded edits.

Brand Notes

Robert Oster inks are made in Australia and appreciated by writers for their vibrant palettes and dependable behavior. The compact 50ml PET bottle is travel-friendly, recyclable, and designed for practical, repeatable fills.

Enjoyed reading some of the best poems ever written. Took me places I’ve never been.
Format: Paperback
Some of the poems were difficult to comprehend and may require a re-reading to understand their full meaning. But that is the brilliance of G. Brooks, putting you in places of the mind that one has never been. Won’t recommend for newbies!

A Great Historical Noir
Format: Kindle
As a lifelong Angeleno, the dark history of the city is often glossed over. Much like Chavez Ravine, the history of Union Station is one of violence and the forced displacement of the original Chinatown and its residents. It's in this setting where the mysterious death of Chinese actress Lulu Wong (who is somewhat based on the real life of actress Anna Mae Wong) begins, and took me into the lives of the amazing Chow sisters - May and Gemma - both of whom have their own reasons for wanting justice. They know the LA cops won't bother to solve the death of a Chinese woman, no matter how famous. It's also a matter of saving their beloved Chinatown from being destroyed in order to build Union Station. I absolutely loved how immersive this story felt and how authentic all of the characters were.
