Orange Parrot Fish Hybrid Amphilophus citrinellus √ó Vieja melanurus 5cm"Introducing the captivating Parrot Fish Hybrid, a stunning amalgamation of Amphilophus Citrinellus and Vieja melanurus, boasting a unique blend of colors and distinctive traits. Originating from the cichlid family, this hybrid embodies vibrant hues and engaging behavior, making it a standout choice for freshwater enthusiasts seeking a visually striking addition to their tanks.
Hailing from Central America, this hybrid inherits characteristics from both its parent species, showcasing a blend of brilliant colors and fascinating features that captivate any observer. With proper care, these hybrids flourish in spacious tanks with ample hiding spots and a diverse aquatic environment.
Feeding the Parrot Fish Hybrid is a delight, as they readily accept a varied diet comprising high-quality pellets, flakes, and occasional live or frozen foods like bloodworms or brine shrimp. Their omnivorous nature ensures a versatile and enjoyable feeding routine.
When considering tank mates, opt for species of similar size and temperament to ensure a harmonious environment. Peaceful cichlids or larger, non-aggressive tank mates can coexist comfortably with these hybrids, provided there's enough space and hiding spots to reduce potential conflicts.
Known for their moderate temperament, the Parrot Fish Hybrid typically exhibits minimal aggression, especially in well-structured tanks with ample territories. However, monitoring their behavior during breeding periods or territorial disputes is advisable.
For aquarists, a moderate level of experience is recommended to care for these hybrids. Maintaining stable water parameters is essential: aim for temperatures around 75°F to 82°F (24°C to 28°C), pH levels ranging from 7.0 to 8.0, and moderately hard water with GH between 10 to 20 dGH.
The Parrot Fish Hybrid embodies the best of both parent species, offering enthusiasts a visually stunning and captivating addition to their freshwater aquariums."

Toddler approved!
Format: Board book
My 2 year old loves this book! The pictures are beautiful, he's learned the names of all of the bugs, and it's a nice small size that's easy to read using one hand with my toddler in my lap before bedtime. I bought this when he was around 18 months old and it is still a hit.

Great book!
Format: Board book
I really like this book it includes: ladybug, bumblebee, praying mantis, firefly and (monarch) butterfly. So a good selection of bugs a small child is likely to experience in their yard or park in North America. For the photo board book aged children I really prefer that they discuss vocabulary that the child will be able to use to describe the world around them so I appreciate that most kids will see most of these bugs fairly easily and frequently. I did question the praying mantis since I see them much less frequently than the other bugs in the book but my husband said it is an exciting bug when kids do see it so he supports the choice--I think a fly or mosquito might have been a somewhat more useful choice as far as vocabulary our son could use most often. I liked that they did say the butterfly was a monarch but typically used butterfly so if a child lives where other butterflies are more common they learned the more general term. I think fireflies are less common in some regions but they are so magical as a small child that I think it is a good choice.
