Ease of Care
Moderate. Will need caves, wood, rocks and hiding places to feel comfortable. Also, a good water flow is needed around the bottom of the aquarium.
Diet
Algae pellets or wafers. Will also except slices of cucumber, potato and frozen or live foods.
Compatibility
Community. Territorial with other catfish and Plecos. Best housed with middle to top dwelling fish.
Breeding/ Sex
Difficult in home aquaria. Cave spawners.
Life Span
They can live to anything from 8-10 years in perfect conditions.
