Features

  • Mechanically Enhanced - Polymaker PolyLite PLA Pro is a toughness enhanced PLA+ filament which has even higher impact strength than regular ABS. At the same time, it also features a 1.6 times of rigidity as other toughness enhanced PLA filaments. The excellent combination of toughness and stiffness is a real breakthrough for the 3D printing industry, making it a perfect choice for mechanically demanding applications.
  • Compatibility In Mind - PolyLite™ PLA Pro is compatible with a wide range of 3D printers and works well with many common printing surfaces and a 30 - 60°C heated bed. 
  • Jam-Free™ technology - PolyLite™ PLA Pro is manufactured with Polymakers Jam-Free™ technology which improves the heat stability of the filament with softening temperatures over 140°C and leads to excellent printing quality with zero risk of nozzle jams caused by heat creep [1].
  • Uncompromised Quality - PolyLite™ PLA filament is made with the highest quality ingredients including Ingeo® from Natureworks. Natureworks is a world-leading biopolymers supplier based in the USA with a portfolio of high quality raw PLA materials produced from rapidly renewable plant resources. Combining Polymakers innovative R&D technologies, compounding and extrusion systems with Natureworks Ingeo® resins produces a reliable 3D printing filament to print beautiful and accurate models.

[1] Heat creep is the the process of heat spreading irregularly throughout the hot end, one common example is with all metal hot end designs. Once heat creeps towards the cold end, the PLA filament softens prematurely in the cold end and expands resulting in a jam. Polymakers Jam-Free™ technology increases the heat resistance of the filament itself (not the printed part) to 140˚C which prevents the filament from prematurely softening in the cold end and can still melt rapidly once entering the heating zone.

Printing Settings

  • Nozzle Temperature: 190°C - 200°C
  • Build Plate Temperature: 30°C - 60°C
  • Build Surface Material: Works well with most build surfaces i.e Glass Blue Tape, BuildTak® etc
  • Build Surface Treatment: Can apply Magigoo Original or PVA glue to the build surface to improve adhesion
  • Cooling Fan: ON 
  • Printing Speed: 30mm/s - 70mm/s
  • Retraction: The ideal retraction settings vary from printer to printer, the following settings may help.
    • Direct Drive: Retraction distance of 1mm with retraction speed of 30mm/s
    • Bowden: Retraction distance of 3mm with retraction speed of 60mm/s
  • Recommended Support Material: 

The above are printing recommendations based on 0.4 mm nozzle. Please note ideal printing conditions may vary depending on your 3D printer setup. For high speed 3D printers, make sure to increase your extrusion temperature in order to use higher printing speeds.

Of course with thousands of unique 3d printer models on the market, we can't guarantee each filament type will work with every 3D printer. Slicer experience and setting adjustment is always required to get the most out of a material. Before jumping into an ambitious project we always recommend printing some known calibration tests to build or make adjustments to the filament profile.

I love the show, hate this book

The Simpsons is one of the funniest TV shows ever. It doesn't translate well to paper at all in this book. This is not funny. It reads like some wannabe comedy writer trying to imitate the Simpsons. The book's credits list Matt Groening as the the "publisher". It lists 7 writers, none of whom is Groening. It also lists a creative director, art director, and multiple "contributing artists", none of whom are Groening. In fact, comparing the list of writers for this book to the list of the show's writers on Wikipedia, none of the show's writers contributed to this book. Maybe that's why it doesn't feel like the show at all. Same characters, lame dialogue, not funny. Too bad.

HO HO HO from the Simpsons! Holiday cheer is here!

The Simpsons 'Holiday Humdinger' is an excellent collection of comics, and this one in particular hits on many different levels. Not only are we seeing the main characters that we love placed in crazy holiday situations, but a lot of careful attention was poured into clever in-jokes and homage's to past characters and episodes. Since the Simpsons brand comics usually play out like a half hour episode, their comic production values have been excellent. The flow of the story, the perfect colors, the likeness of the characters....all of these elements make the comic strips come together in a great way. In the case of this holiday edition, not only do we get the longer stories but we also get much more: A few two-page spreads of Christmas silliness courtesy of the Springfield Elementary gym, the power plant, and the comic book store. In these bits, there is so much going on at once that is takes a 2nd and 3rd glance to make sure you don't miss all the laughs. We are also treated to holiday "cards," coming from many Springfield hot spots and major players. Fans of the series will think back to some past TV episodes to make the connection with some of these holiday greetings! There are a few Angry Dad cameos as well! And Christmas would certainly feel empty without Itchy & Scratchy, so get ready for a great story involving our favorite cat and mouse. As with many other Simpsons collections, many of these comics may have appeared in the monthly editions in the past. So beware if you do not like the idea of getting repeat material. Otherwise, this is an absolute holiday treat ! Enjoy!
