After investigating the pipe routing and size, their engineers identified numerous areas where improvement was necessary. The Mishimoto intercooler pipes are constructed of mandrel bent aluminum routed in a way that eliminates restrictive bends present in the factory pipes. Along with this, they increased the pipe diameter from 3" to 3.5" to provide substantial improvements in power, airflow, and EGTs.
