Table of Contents

A mass movement, propaganda, and physical and psychological terror were the components that Hitler believed to be necessary to gain control over a people and a nation; the Nazis used sport as a means to those ends.

This two-volume set represents the first comprehensive attempt at examining the association of sport with the Third Reich, and contains over 2,200 images, the majority of which have never before been published. History, uniforms, insignia, awards, and many period photographs related to the association of sport with the Wehrmacht and organizations of the NSDAP is presented. The reader is provided with interesting historical information associated with sporting events, athletes, Third Reich personalities, and organizations of the NSDAP. The philatelist will enjoy the sport related German postage stamps that are shown. The 1936 winter and summer Olympics and the 1938 Breslau Games are covered. Hitler predicted that after 1940 the Olympics would be forever held in Berlin; Hitler was proven wrong and in September of 1945 the Allies staged an athletic competition in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.

Volume 1 covers the DRL/NSRL, 1936 Winter and Summer Olympics, 1938 Breslau Games, the sport uniform, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine and Heer. Volume 2 covers the political leader, SA, NSKK, NKFK, SS/Police, Hitler Youth, DAF/RAD, and miscellaneous topics.

Specific information related to each component of the sport uniform - shirt, shorts, shoes, bathing suit, and athletic training suit - is provided. The manner by which rank was conveyed on the sport uniforms of the Wehrmacht and the organizations of the NSDAP is dealt with in detail. These unique books are a must have for the military researcher, historian, and collector!

2200+ color & b/w images each volume

Stylish Look and Comfortable for Daily Wear
Size: 9, Color: Navy Blue
I bought the SVNKE men’s fashion dress shoes mainly for casual office wear, and they’ve been a pleasant surprise. The design looks sharp and gives a nice mix between dress shoes and sneakers, so they work well with both business and casual outfits. They are surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. The cushioning is decent, and I’ve been able to wear them for most of the day without discomfort. They also feel lightweight, which makes them easy to walk in. The build quality is okay for the price—not premium, but solid enough for regular use. Overall, these are a great budget-friendly option if you want a versatile shoe that looks good and feels comfortable for everyday wear.

Better quality than the others!
Size: 10.5, Color: Dark Black, Size: 10.5, Color: Dark Black
I’ve had a pair of these in grey for over a year and was looking for black shoes to replace my worn out old ones, so I decided to give these a try. Just like the grey, these did not disappoint. They have a different/look design than the standard breeze/cole haan knockoffs you see everywhere. They look and feel a lot better. The insoles have more support and the outer sole is very cushioned, making them comfortable all day. With the other knockoffs, I usually buy an additional insole for support since they come with a laughable sponge laid in the shoe, which is an added expense. This alone makes the SVNKE a great option. If you like the different look of these, then definitely get them, you will appreciate the higher quality!

Fantastic purchase
Size: 12.5, Color: Black
Fantastic purchase. I had a trip to Spain planned and wanted shoes that would work both for lots of walking and also more dressy events so I bought these. After a nine day trip to Spain, walking over 20,000 steps a day through cobble stone streets I can report these shoes held up, were comfortable, gave no blisters, and all with virtually no break in time for the shoes. I wear a size 12 but bought a half size larger and it was a perfect fit. Definitely recommend these.

If you’re going for cushion and looks, these do it.
Size: 9.5, Color: Grey
These are massively cushiony. They fit as sized, slip on well, and look very good. It seems like they should hold up well.

Nice and affordable, but poor arch support and mushy insoles.
Size: 11 Wide, Color: Black
These shoes look nice and feel comfortable at first, but the soft memory foam type bottoms on these don't provide enough support. I am a big guy and find that over the course of the day the insoles compress and my feet end up at an angle. After a long day on my feet, my dogs are barking and my leg muscles are tight I think from walking on an angle. I added my GoodFeet arch support and they help a little with arch support, but the insole is so soft that it absorbs the bulge quite a bit. If you're skinny and need a decent looking pair of shoes on the cheap, they might be ok for you. I would not recommend long walks or strenuous activity in them. I will say they are lightweight, breathable and a decent value if you don't have flat feet and a beer belly (I don't even drink beer, how'd that happen, WTH?!)
