The Ultimate All-Around Performance Racket

The Victor DriveX 12 is engineered for players who demand a balance of blistering speed and clinical precision. As the racket of choice for World Champion Zheng Si Wei, the DX-12 utilizes a 6.6mm slim shaft and Metallic Carbon Fiber to deliver a crisp hitting feel with a steep downward whipping angle.

Key Technologies:

  • Free Core Technology: An innovative synthetic handle that allows the shaft to move more freely, smoothing out swings and reducing hand fatigue.

  • Metallic Carbon Fiber: Integrated into the frame and shaft to enhance force transmission and increase the power of your smashes.

  • Nano Fortify TR: Upgrades impact resistance and elasticity, giving you a "repulsion" effect that makes defensive lifts and fast drives feel effortless.

The single-pass grommet hole construction creates less friction between strings, this effectively reduces tension loss, while extending string life.

PYROFIL carbon fiber and its composites, are advanced high-performance materials from Japan. The characteristic of high intensity bonds ultra-light offers racket excellent shock-absorption and enhances control.

Inspired by military helicopter, multi-layered structure made by carbon fiber and composites, minimize material size, reinforce handling feel and performance at a critical standard.

Introducing the TORAYCA®PREPREG material from Toray, a leading carbon fiber manufacturer from Japan, NANO FORTIFY TR not only upgrades the elasticity and impact resistance, but also enables excellent exercise performance, which further provides greater repulsion, easy-yet-smooth shot-making, and advanced racket-handling experience.

NANO AEROGEL, the world's lightest solid, is infused into the frame. By reallocating the weight balance of the frame and increasing the use of carbon fiber, both the frame's strength and hitting feel are effectively elevated.

Victor DriveX 12: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the DriveX 12 compare to the Auraspeed (ARS) series? A: While the Auraspeed series (like the ARS-90K) is built for pure speed and "rebound" feel, the DriveX 12 is more stable and "all-around." Players on Reddit note that the DX-12 feels more solid through the air with better torsional stiffness, making it more predictable for precision shots compared to the thinner, faster frames of the Auraspeed line.

Q: Is the Zheng Si Wei (ZSW) Edition different from the standard DriveX 12? A: Yes, according to community reviews, the ZSW Edition feels slightly more flexible than the standard version, providing a more pronounced "whipping effect" on smashes. It is designed to be more forgiving for intermediate-to-advanced players while maintaining the high-end stability required for professional play.

Q: Which is better for doubles: the 3U or 4U version? A: * 4U (80-84g): Most popular for doubles. Players find it significantly easier to maneuver during fast mid-court drives and defensive blocks.

  • 3U (85-89g): Better for back-court "bombers" who want maximum mass behind their smashes. Note: Some users report the DX-12 feels slightly heavier than other "Even Balanced" rackets, so the 4U is often the safer choice for all-day play.

Q: Does the Free Core handle actually reduce vibration? A: Yes. The synthetic Free Core handle is a major talking point on Reddit. Unlike traditional wood handles, it allows the shaft to move more independently, which smooths out the "sting" on off-center hits. However, some advanced players mention it takes a few sessions to get used to the unique feedback compared to a wooden handle.

Q: What is the recommended string tension for the DriveX 12? A: While the frame is rated up to 33lbs (3U) or 32lbs (4U), the community consensus for intermediate players is 24–27 lbs.

  • For Power: Pair with Victor VBS-66 Nano or Yonex BG80.

  • For Control: Pair with Yonex Aerobite.

  • Note: Using very thin strings (under 0.63mm) at high tension can sometimes make the racket feel "hollow," so a medium-gauge string is often preferred.

Q: Is the DriveX 12 beginner-friendly? A: Generally, no. Because it has a stiff shaft and a high-tech "Metallic Carbon" construction, it requires good timing and swing speed to unlock its power. Beginners may find it "demanding" or "sluggish" if their technique isn't developed. It is best suited for Intermediate to Advanced players.

Q: How does the DriveX 12 compare to the Yonex Arcsaber 11 Pro? A: Both are "all-around" flagships, but the DriveX 12 offers a faster, more "whippy" feel due to its 6.6mm slim shaft and Metallic Carbon Fiber. While the Arcsaber 11 Pro is known for its "hold" and shuttle pocketing, the DX-12 provides a crisper repulsion and a steeper downward angle on smashes, making it a more aggressive choice for doubles players.

Q: Is the Zheng Si Wei (ZSW) "Z-Swing" edition different from the standard Orange model? A: Yes. Player reviews highlight that the ZSW Edition (Z-Swing) is slightly more forgiving and easier to maneuver than the original stiff model. It features WES 3.0 (Whipper Enhancement System) for a more pronounced "snap" during fast drives and is optimized for the high-intensity, flat-game style of mixed doubles.

Q: Why do some players find the DriveX 12 "hard to tame" initially? A: The DX-12 uses a Metallic Carbon Fiber shaft which feels stiffer and more "solid" upon impact compared to traditional graphite. This results in incredible precision but requires high-level timing; players transitioning from flexible rackets may find it "numb" or "slow" until they adjust their swing speed to the racket’s unique feedback.

Q: Which version is better for front-court players: 3U or 4U? A: For the DriveX 12, the 4U (approx. 83g) is the overwhelming favorite for front-court and mid-court play. It balances the racket's natural stability with enough speed for lightning-fast net kills. The 3U is typically reserved for back-court "heavy hitters" who want the added mass to punch through defensive blocks.

Q: Does the Free Core handle cause too much vibration? A: While early versions of Free Core were polarizing, the DX-12 integrates the Power Ring Pro, which stabilizes the handle-to-shaft connection. Reddit users report that while it still feels "dampened" compared to a wooden handle, the vibration is significantly reduced, offering a comfortable, fatigue-free experience during long tournament days.

Q: What are the best strings to pair with the DriveX 12 for control? A: To maximize the control-centric nature of this racket, players recommend Victor VBS-66 Nano or Yonex BG80 at 26–28 lbs. Avoid ultra-thin strings (under 0.63mm) at very high tensions, as some users find it makes the Metallic Carbon frame feel "hollow" or "tinny."

Q: Which professional players currently endorse the Victor DriveX 12?

A: The Victor DriveX 12 is a flagship all-around racket highly favored by top-tier doubles players on the BWF World Tour. Its most notable current endorsers include:

  • Zheng Si Wei (China): The Olympic and World Champion mixed doubles player is the primary face of this racket. He even has his own signature Zheng Si Wei Edition, which is tweaked to complement his aggressive, wrist-heavy whipping attacks at the net.

  • Fajar Alfian (Indonesia): The elite Men's Doubles champion is heavily featured in Victor's promotional materials for the standard DX-12. He publicly praises the racket for its solid hitting feel, swift maneuverability, and precise downward shot control during rapid flat exchanges.

  • Nur Izzuddin (Malaysia): A powerhouse Men's Doubles player who recently transitioned to the DriveX 12 on the international circuit, favoring its high-end stability and crisp repulsion over strictly head-heavy alternatives.

*It comes with a Badminton Racket cover.

My Dachshunds Love These
Size: Small
These balls are durable, flexible material, highly chewable without being easily destroyed. I stuff them with Milkbone Maro Snacks, which are just the right size to twist into the holes in the ball. My dogs literally get an hour+ chewing and chasing entertainment from these. They chew them, they sometimes 'pop' out of their mouths, go rolling across the floor, dogs chasing them. This satisfies their urge to hunt prey. Dachshunds can easily tear this kind of stuff-it-toy apart. These have lasted for a long time without tearing or shredding. I would NOT recommend them for a dog much larger than a tweenie weenie. They're a bit on the small side and might be swallowed by a larger dog. It would be cool it they also came in a larger size (and probably ball wall thickness also) for the bigger dogs to enjoy. These stuff-it chew balls are better than the kong balls my dogs had before these. Highly recommend them.

My puppy’s favorite fetch toy!
Size: Small
Update Aug 27, 2024: After 10 months, these are still his favorite ball. He’s obsessed with fetching and plays with them all day. They do bounce really high. Unfortunately, the small size aren’t available for sale anywhere anymore. I tried the medium size, and he has a bit of trouble hanging on to them, but he manages. Weirdly, he prefers the orange one, but he also plays with the blue one. My 7 month old Shih Tzu puppy loves to fetch, and these are his new favorites. They’re small enough to fit in his mouth, and they are made of hard plastic, so he’s able to hold on to them. They have a lot of bounce, and this adds to the fun for him. I highly recommend them.

Genuinely bummed that these great balls can’t stand up against my Chloè.
Size: Medium
I love all the Chuckit brand of balls. I found that the Strabo and glow balls in the Chuckit line are the softest, and as such, don't last as long as the rest of Chuckit line of balls. Having said that, they do last longer than than every other brand I've tried (and I do believe I’ve tried every brand available on the market today.) The strato balls do bounce higher than any of the other balls in the Chuckit line. They really are a good value.

Great dog balls at a great price
Size: Medium
The balls are a favorite for my dog. I could have done without the hole through the middle because I don't do treats in balls anyway. My dog loves balls for their own merit. I needed replacement balls for my Nerf Dog Ball launcher. It seems the originals have disappeared from the market. I took a chance because the price is right and this Chuck-it ball works very well so we're liking this ball a lot. So far my Dachsund, who can destroy a tennis ball (the kind they are selling as Nerf Dog replacements) in 3 minutes has not done any damage to this one so that's a win. I recommend this as a much better ball than the fuzzy tennis balls. I like the colors too since many dog toys are green (which gets lost in the lawn, etc.) or red (even though dogs have red/green color blindness. Blue and orange are good and pretty easy to find. I liked these well enough that this set was my second purchase so I will have spares in case the others are lost.

My Baby loves his new baby!
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
Finally! A ball my 107 lb. pitty/pointer mix can’t destroy. He has torn up every single “indestructible” toy in a day or so until now. He peels fabric and fur off non-rubber toys. He is a 4-legged shredder. I’ve added pictures of him for a size reference of my dog versus this product. I know I had wanted that when shopping for this item. This ball is now his beloved “baby.” He goes absolutely insane looking for it, chewing it, chasing it, and even sleeping with it. He won’t rest unless he knows exactly where it is. It is his only toy, and he is good with that. After getting this home, I tried giving him other choices, but he won’t touch them. I was worried that he would rip it apart by putting his teeth in the holes, but so far, not a scratch. It is soft enough to collapse just enough to keep it from cracking when his jaws crush it but not so soft that he can rip it to sheds. The holes are large enough to prevent a suction or vacuum effect on his tongue or mouth. For his size jaws, it is a perfect fit. Other dogs might have problems with suction or be able to get their teeth in those holes and rip it apart. Who knows? The older version of the Chuckit squeaky ball was his favorite for the year and a half he had it, but the way they make them now, he peels off the orange triangle in hours flat, the squeaker falls out (choking hazard), and then he rips it apart. I’m going to stock up on these. I can’t imagine how crazy he will be if they ever stop production or change the materials.
