'Оповідач, що рівний Гомеру' — так називають сербського письменника Мілорада Павича (1929–2009). Перекладач і професор, один із представників постмодернізму в європейській літературі. Починав як поет і літературознавець, проте світову славу здобув як прозаїк. Павича вважають одним із творців так званої 'нелінійної прози' — прози ІІІ тисячоліття. Його книги часто побудовані у вигляді словників, таро, енциклопедій, театру або дзеркал. Творам письменника властива простота й одночасно багатовимірність текстів, які заманюють читача в магічну гру.

'Хозарський словник' (1984) існує у двох версіях — 'чоловічій' та 'жіночій', які відрізняються одним реченням, що впливає на трактування деяких подій. Це роман-лексикон, побудований у формі словника. У ньому автор досліджує масове навернення хозарів наприкінці ІХ століття до однієї з трьох релігій — християнства (Червона книга), ісламу (Зелена книга) чи юдаїзму (Жовта книга). Кожна частина містить записи у вигляді енциклопедичних статей, які іноді суперечать одна одній, що створює ефект багатоголосся. У романі переплетено історію, містицизм, філософію та літературну гру. Саме читач обирає послідовність статей, поєднує фрагменти в єдину картину або залишає їх як химерну мозаїку. У цьому виданні представлений чоловічий примірник словника.

I would recommend this book to ALL couples facing this disease that no one wants, and for all couples who wish to end the marriage on a better note v.s. exhaustion and relief ,when the affected spouse that has this diagnoses, finally passes.
