Daum re-discovered the technique of pate de verre in 1968, which is what they are most famous for today. This rare and ancient process, dating back to 5000 B.C, is extremely difficult to master; However, the pieces produced by this method have a texture, substance, and softness simply not attainable any other way.
It is actually a paste made of crystal with a 30% lead content. It originates from specially produced batches of crystal melted and broken into smaller pieces.
Several factors have a bearing on the final color, including the size of the fragments, proportions, chemical reaction between certain minerals, and the rate of increase and decrease in temperature within the kilns.

Great quality, and great performance!

Got this to take on a camping road trip where we camped at three different locations all around Arizona. Needed something that would dry quick, but also be absorbent to dry me off, and this exceeded my expectations. It’s a really nice brushed, cotton kind of feel, but dries quickly. Next time I will order a larger size though. I’ve had this one for a couple years.

Must buy for traveling

Bought two of these towels for our trip to an all inclusive in Punta Cana, DR. I totally loved these towels and I wish I would've bought them before. This towel is super light weight and easy to pack. I bought the biggest size available and it was perfect. They dry very quickly and very convenient to use. It is not the typical towel so when you use It the first time it feels a little weird but you will end up loving it. It dries your body very well. It has a little loop that you can use to hang it so it can dry. I am 5'0 and couldve done the 24x48 size but I went with the 30x60 for both hubby and I.

Great towels!
