Rosso rubino intenso, tendente al granato con linvecchiamento. I sentori olfattivi sono dapprima fruttati, e ricordano la frutta rossa, per poi evolversi e richiamare il cacao amaro, il caffè e le spezie. Al palato è di corpo e strutturato, asciutto e persistente.Il comune di Vinchio appartiene a una delle aree più vocate per la coltivazione del vitigno barbera, ed è proprio da lì che provengono le uve con cui la cantina Oddero ottiene il Nizza DOCG Vinchio d'Asti. Dopo la fermentazione, matura parte in botti di rovere e parte in barrique per 18 mesi, per poi essere assemblato in primavera e imbottigliato in estate. È equilibrato e armonico, molto elegante e avvolgente.
Il Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG Vinchio d'Asti trova la sua massima espressione se abbinato a piatti ricchi, carne rossa e formaggi a pasta molle. Ottimo con la bagna cauda.
