This new version is an exact replica of the original, based on the model with serial number 23 10 001, first made on 23rd March 1968. Every detail has been carefully reproduced to meet the highest standards of quality.
ALPINA gear knob is crafted from a single piece of premium "Amazakoue" wood, a durable hardwood from West Africa. The wood undergoes a six-week drying process, followed by over 15 careful steps of shaping, refining, and varnishing at ALPINA’s Buchloe workshop. The ALPINA logo is then embedded, and the mounting mechanism is precisely fitted.
ALPINA shift knob is available in matte (semi-gloss) or gloss (high-gloss) finishes. It fits BMW models made after1977 with a push-on (pluggable) type gear knob.
This attention to detail ensures that drivers of classic ALPINA models can enjoy a shift knob that perfectly matches the original in quality and style, adding to the authenticity and driving experience.
