Kikuo Matsuda, born in 1952 in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, is a renowned Japanese knife craftsman. Seki City has been known as a center for sword production since the Kamakura period. Growing up in this traditional environment, Matsuda honed his foundational sharpening skills within a family lineage dedicated to sword making.

He is acclaimed for his unique knives that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern design. His brand, "Kiku Knives" is distinguished by meticulous hand sharpening, with each piece reflecting a commitment to detail and quality.
