Verdite is a light to dark green-brown Serpentine-like mineral dating back 3500 million years ago.
These master crafted pieces will become valuable, not only as works of Art, but also as Antiques very soon, as the vast majority of the younger generations of African Carving Families have been put through School/Collage on this Artwork by the Parents and no longer make these carvings, so it is almost a thing of the past.
