Holger Palmgren visits Lisbeth and explains that he has received a series of documents containing information about the abuses she suffered in her childhood. Salander turns to Mikael Blomkvist, and they embark on an investigation that could reveal one of the most atrocious experiments sponsored by the Swedish government in the 1980s.
