The SILKOLENE PRO 4 XP range of motorcycle engines oils are designed using XP Technology for high performance On-Road and Off-Road 4 stroke motorcycle engines. XP Technology uses an innovative highly shear stable, low volatility base oil formulation along with stable esters to achieve increased power, provide ultimate engine and transmission protection, reduce oil consumption and improve fuel economy even under race conditions. XP Technology combats engine wear and reduces friction on all critical load surfaces at both high temperature operation and on cold starts.

Application

The SILKOLENE PRO 4 XP range is formulated to meet the needs of both air and water-cooled 4-Stroke engines fitted to Road and Off-Road motorcycles. PRO 4 XP comes is three grades to provide the correct viscosity for the majority of motorcycle manufacturers.     This is the most amazing oil I have ever used. As a previous mechanic and current auto enthusiast, I am very picky about what I use in my vehicle. I tried this on a car I planned on trading in for about a year before getting rid of it and it really made a difference in quieting down the lifters and valve train. Looking internally to the engine I found that this does clean and dissolve varnish internally while also retaining its viscosity. I was impressed by the improvement in how smoothly it made that car run until trading it in. I've been using it in my new to me 20 year old used car I bought which has low mileage and runs great.     Simply put, it’s a miracle product

    There’s a reason this product won the best consumer product of the year, 40,000 customers voted on this product as the most innovative product of the year for car care. Personally it has stopped my 185,000 mile, 16 year old Subaru EJ253 engine from consuming/burning oil in just 2 3,000 mile interval oil changes. I was previously burning about a quart of oil every 1,000 miles before using the Valvoline restore and protect and it has already done its job and then some. Not only have I stopped consuming oil, I’ve seen roughly a +3mpg increase compared to the times I’ve used and tracked MPG while using Shell Rotella T6 and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum; it doesn’t end there either as I regularly check my engine oil dipstick out of habit because the car used to burn oil and I had to stay on top of the oil level. Upon checking my oil level at 1,000 miles into the second oil change I was shocked to see how clean the Valvoline oil was on the sides of the dipstick, using other oils and checking them at that interval has always had my oil looking quite black and dirty just 1000 miles after a change, this was not the case with the restore and protect; it came out at 1000 miles looking very clean, translucent and not discolored. I can’t recommend this product enough, especially at the price point compared to competitors; I will always have a jug of this stuff in the garage.

    I've used this in my 2014 Buick Encore with 91k miles on it for 2 oil changes and the results are extremely impressive. The engine in the 'ole gal is noticably quieter and my gas milage is definately improving. I switched from Mobil 1 to this oil based primarily on reviews and I'm glad I made the switch. This vehicle is not only my commuter car (80 miles per day), but it's my "winter" vehicle so it sees some temperature extremes. This oil is remarkable ! Time will tell, but I definately recommend it.
