Since 1949, the soul of YASHICA has lived in every captured moment. In the past, telling both sides of your story – film and digital – meant carrying two cameras.

The Galway Camera Shop is now stocking Yashicas latest camera series: YASHICA FX-D, your first digital film simulation camera. FX-D stands for Film Experience in Digital, precisely capturing a genuine Film Experience delivered through a Digital platform.

Inspired by the legendary YASHICA FX-3, the FX-D series combines the classic manual film advance lever and retro design with modern digital convenience.

At its heart are six built-in film simulations that recreate the timeless look of YASHICA’s classic film stocks, giving your photos the nostalgic charm of film without needing actual film rolls.

You can shoot with the texture of film or the speed and flexibility of digital, all in one camera. No extras, no complications. Just one YASHICA camera to tell your story.

Film Simulation Mode is where the heart of the YASHICA FX-D truly beats.

Switch instantly between six distinct film tones with a dedicated film simulation dial, and fine-tune grain, white balance shift, saturation, contrast, sharpness and hue. Store your presets as two personal “recipes” and recall them in seconds.Fully wind the film advance lever to take a shoot, and the film look appears in real time through the lens, so you’re not just shooting blindly and fixing later.

The film advance lever is an active part of your YASHICA FX-D creative workflow.

In Film Simulation Mode, after every single shot you capture, you will need to fully wind the film advance lever: guide the lever ahead until it reaches its stop and you hear a soft click. Without this winding action, the shutter will not release for your next shot.

By reintroducing this classic analog motion, FX-D invites you to slow down and be truly present in the moment. Each pull of the lever transforms fosters a deeper connection with your subject and the scene before you. It's a subtle yet powerful reminder to pause before every shot, which significantly enhances the unique "film experience" at the very heart of this innovative digital camera.

In Digital Mode, capture swiftly and effortlessly with instant shooting. This shooting mode is perfect for those moments when you need quick reactions, or when you prefer the straightforward workflow of digital photography.

Select your desired digital shooting options, such as Program (P) and SCN (Scene), with the Mode dial for the ideal shooting setting. The camera also offers various filters in Digital Mode, allowing you to instantly add creative flair to your images.

FX-D 100 — Compact, intuitive, and powered by a 13MP sensor. Ideal for everyday creators who want the charm of analog with the speed of digital, all at a competitive price.Available in the classic silver & black combination.

FX-D 300 — 50MP high-resolution, built for professionals who demand detail, dynamic range, and flexibility in post-production. DNG format supported.Available in a silver & black combination.

Fluffy and Nice Omegaverse
Format: Kindle
… this would have made 5 stars but for 2 reasons. A.) there were quite a few typos; misspelled words, missing quotations, “the his” mistakes, and various signs that maybe a proofread would do good. B.) the writing was quite textbook. Late blooming omega is struggling with her new self, finds a absurdly wealthy pack of alphas, every thing is almost insta-love but she resists, then decides to love herself and let everyone be happy. Rian was my favourite (obviously the author’s favourite too because he got the most page time) but I wish we could see more of his CEO side? He went to work maybe ONCE the entire time. Gray was supposed to be the “growly one” but he turned out to be puppy dog. Lucas was a genius brainiac doctor - but also super alpha with an aggressive hindbrain with a breeding k*nk?? And then there was no actual “breeding”?? Spice 3/5 - normally omegaverse books are super high on messy smut but this was tamer. Romance 3/5 - insta-love that was then resisted because of personal hangup’s Plot 2/5 - weird paced head hopping, showing the same scene from different POV’s that made me feel like it was 2 steps backward, 1 step forward. Humour 4/5 - there were a dozen lines that genuinely made me chuckle out loud Would have been five stars but the lack of proofreading and the predictable plot made me unable to get up to ADORED IT level - four stars is still and official ENJOYED IT, y’all. This isn’t a bad rating. The “Club Heat” has intriguing possibilities so I’m going to give the second one a shot.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.
