In the world of wheeling, it’s not a question of if you’ll get stuck, but when. The Borne Off-Road Kinetic Energy Rope is a perfect addition to help keep you prepared for whatever may come. Constructed from heavy duty double braided nylon material, the Borne Off-Road Kinetic Energy Recovery Rope is designed to be strong and dependable, but also easy to handle and smooth to the touch. With fantastic UV and abrasion resistance, the braided nylon material also allows for up to 30% stretch. This stretching serves two functions. The first is to allow the rope to build kinetic energy which transfers into forward momentum of the vehicle being pulled. The second is to ease the transition from slack to tension to help reduce jarring and parts breakage compared to traditional ropes, cables, and tow straps. The Polyurethane coated end loops provide you with durable attachment points. With its own storage bag, this is the perfect recovery rope to keep in your rig, because you never know when you may need to give someone a pull, or when you may need to get pulled out yourself. Dr. Sue Johnson's scholarly synthesis of attachment theory and research, alongside her own clinical reflections/examples, culminates in a truly excellent resource! Dr. Johnson describes the value and utility of attachment theory so eloquently-- the wisdom contained within this text resonates deeply with the human experience and what we know to be true about the inherent and powerful longing for connection. She offers a helpful road map for therapy that is relevant, necessary, and essential for healing and change in therapy!

Wonderful read
Format: Hardcover
This is a super read for anyone interested in understanding more about relationships. It is not a popular press magazine or cookbook. Be aware it is written in a very dense (though fluid) academic style which requires your attention: compound sentences cleaned of articles and misunderstanding. The content is wonderfully organized and flawlessly edited. As a nonprofessional, I enjoyed the book immensely, finding insights into past relationships and myself on almost every page -- along with hope for doing better by my partner in the future.

Five stars
Format: Hardcover
The book was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. It also arrived early which was great. I recommend this book seller. I read Susan M. Johnson’s other book on EFT, “Hold Me Tight” and found it extremely helpful with my therapy clients. I’m excited to dive into this book too!

This would have been great if an editor worked on it first
Format: Hardcover
As much as I admire Dr. Johnson and her work, the writing is not good in this book. The ideas are very useful but the reader must slog through complex, turgid sentences and multiple grammatical errors to get the points. I wish more writers had good editing and didn’t submit such poor writing for publication. Dr. Johnson is not alone in this criticism. I think many writers have been trained to write circuitous sentences and that results in the reader working unnecessarily hard to grasp the meaning of the ideas.
That said, I am very impressed by her use of research that supports her writing and the ideas she presents. I hope that future publications are more carefully edited before they are published, with the reader in mind. And if you wonder if I am uneducated, rest assured that I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and 20 years post license experience.
