BetaFPV VR04: Finally, Goggles for Humans with Vision Issues

Listen, we know the drill. You spent half your life developing a dependency on corrective lenses, and the FPV world decided that everyone should have perfect 20/20 vision or suffer the consequences of jamming plastic into their frames. The BetaFPV VR04 FPV Goggles are here to end the spectacle-shaming. Designed with actual human faces in mind, these goggles offer enough internal real estate to house your glasses and your dignity simultaneously. It’s analog, it’s immersive, and it doesn’t require elective eye surgery to enjoy.

Why You Want It

Most entry-level goggles feel like wearing a budget toaster on your face. The VR04 is different. It’s got a contoured face pad that actually understands geometry and a soft silicone nose bridge that stops light leaks from ruining your vibe. Plus, it has a built-in DVR. Because if you didn’t record that tree-clipping power loop for your three Instagram followers, did it even really happen? (Spoiler: The broken prop says yes).

Specs

  • Dimensions: 168.8 x 182.1 x 98.5mm (Large enough for your head, small enough for your backpack)
  • Weight: 425g±10g (Light enough to avoid "Drone Neck")
  • Screen: 4.3 inch 800x480 LCD (Crisper than your first FPV flight's resolution)
  • Frequency: 5.8GHz 48CH (Because finding a clear channel shouldn't be a chore)
  • Battery: 3.7V, 2000mAh (Internal) + 2-6S external support (For when you forget to charge things)
  • Runtime: ~2 Hours (Or ~1 hour if you're obsessed with recording every crash)
  • Antenna Port: RP-SMA (Industry standard, don't mess this up)
  • DVR: 480P@30fps AVI (Relive the pixels in all their 1990s-esque glory)
  • Charging: USB Type-C (Finally, a cable you actually own)

In the Box

  • 1x BetaFPV VR04 FPV Goggles (The main event)
  • 1x Adjustable Headband (Keep it on your skull)
  • 1x USB-C Charging Cable (Don't lose it)
  • 1x Probably some cardboard you'll recycle

Compatibility

Works with literally any 5.8GHz analog VTX. Whether you're flying a tiny whoop around your living room or a long-range rig through the British drizzle, if it transmits analog, these goggles will catch it. Supports 2S-6S external power via the balance lead of your flight packs if the internal battery hits zero mid-session.

Highlights

  • Spectacle Friendly: Wear your glasses. Seriously. There's room.
  • One-Button DVR: Simple enough that even your tech-illiterate cousin could record a flight.
  • Auto-Search: Hold the 5D button and let the goggles do the work. It'll find the strongest signal while you contemplate why you bought so many spare props.
  • External Power: Run them off your 6S packs. It’s basically infinite runtime until your drone batteries die.

Notes

The DVR takes about 8-10 seconds to wake up after you press the button. It’s not broken; it’s just caffeinating. Maximum file size is 10 minutes because nobody wants to watch a 40-minute unedited video of you stuck in a hedge. MicroSD card is not included because we know you have ten of them rolling around in your junk drawer.

document feeder not working on first real use.
Pattern Name: Printer, Style: ET-15000
Serious reliability issues and concerns. We have owned the printer for about 1 month and printed a limited amount. For the first time today I tried scanning with the document feeder. I was scanning about 12 pages that should of been 1 document. The first page scanned and then stopped. I started the scanner again and it scanned about 5 pages and then jammed. The rest of the pages were a constant jamming/not feeding fiasco. I would run to the computer and hit scan, then run to the printer and manually push on the paper as hard as i could without the paper bending. if I pushed just right i could get a few pages through without jamming. I ended up with about 6 pdf's instead of one document and constant jamming in the paper feeder. Frustrating from a brand new printer and the first time using the paper scanner. There is a clicking noise when it scans. a few of the pages fed properly but the rest had to be forced. No obvious obstructions or other issues. I tried cleaning the rollers with no success. Then attempted to reach out to Epson support. The only support option I could find was an email form that put me in a captia loop after entering all the information so I had to start over on the ticket submission. No chat support, no phone number, brand new higher priced printer with serious build/reliability issues. Frustrating.

This is a great printer. I love it.
Pattern Name: Printer, Style: ET-15000
I’ve been using the Epson ET‑15000 for custom chip bags and ran into a huge issue with my original paper choice. The printer itself is great, but the Koala 30 lb glossy paper did not play well with the black ink at all. Even after letting my prints sit for a full two days, the black areas would still smear and come off on my fingers as soon as I started folding and assembling the bags. It was super frustrating and made it hard to trust my prints for orders. I decided to try Eshang high gloss paper instead, and the difference has been night and day. With the same Epson ET‑15000 and the same designs, the Eshang paper works like a charm. The black ink dries quickly, doesn’t rub off when handled, and holds up beautifully while I’m folding and sealing my chip bags. Colors look vibrant, the finish is nice and glossy, and I don’t have to worry about smudging anymore. If you’re using an Epson EcoTank like the ET‑15000 and struggling with black ink smearing on Koala glossy, I highly recommend switching to Eshang high gloss. It completely solved the problem for me and made my chip bag printing so much easier and more professional.

Need scan button to work!
Pattern Name: Printer, Style: ET-15000
Love (almost) everything about this except the scan button. The scan button on the Epson screen does not work. I called Microsoft who tried to fix it through the connection but still didn't work. Sent an e-mail to Epson and no response. Really need this scan button to work so that I can scan to desktop.
