Sam McKenzie is a cartoonist and illustrator based in Meanjin Brisbane, Australia. His work is heavily influenced by a fascination with 20th century pop culture artifacts, such as comic books, 80s cartoons, and DIY punk culture. His energetic illustrations are widely recognized for their dynamic compositions, meticulous detail, and sludgy-toxic-pop color schemes. Mckenzie’s creative output has been nothing short of prolific over his 10+ years as an established illustrator, and his work can be found on hundreds of merch designs, record covers, posters & flyers around the world.
