Victron 150A 2P Busbar: Centralised High-Current DC Distribution for Marine, RV, and Off-Grid Systems

Efficient Power Management with 10 Connection Points and Protective Cover

The Victron 150A 2P Busbar provides a robust, organised solution for consolidating high-current DC connections in demanding mobile and renewable energy environments. Designed to streamline complex wiring, this busbar reduces clutter and potential failure points by offering a single, centralised node for battery and equipment terminations. With a 150A continuous rating and 10 stainless steel terminal screws, it accommodates multiple circuits while maintaining secure, low-resistance contacts.

Engineered for marine electrical panels, RV power systems, and off-grid solar installations, this busbar simplifies maintenance and enhances safety. The included clear polycarbonate cover prevents accidental shorts, while the fire-retardant ABS base ensures reliable insulation. Whether upgrading a boat’s battery compartment or building a 12V/24V distribution board, the Victron 150A 2P delivers dependable performance.

Key Features

  • 150A continuous current rating for high-demand DC circuits
  • 10 stainless steel 8-32 (approx. M4) terminal screws for multiple branch connections
  • Dual 1/4" (6.35 mm) stainless steel main studs with tin-plated copper hex nuts for primary feeds
  • Tin-plated copper busbar strip (2.4 x 19 mm) ensures excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance
  • Clear polycarbonate cover protects against accidental contact and debris
  • Fire-retardant ABS base (UL 94 V-0) provides secure mounting and electrical isolation
  • Pre-drilled mounting holes for easy installation on panels or bulkheads

Built for Harsh Environments

Victron Energy designs busbars to withstand the rigours of mobile and marine applications. The inserted moulded stainless steel studs eliminate the need for securing nuts beneath the base, allowing higher torque values and superior electrical contact. This construction reduces the risk of loose connections over time, a common issue in vibrating environments. The tin-plated copper strip resists oxidation, maintaining low resistance even in humid or salt-laden air.

The raised bus design provides ample space for routing multiple wires, simplifying installation and future modifications. The protective cover snaps securely in place, shielding terminals from accidental shorts caused by tools or loose objects. With a maximum voltage rating of 70 VDC, this busbar is suitable for 12V, 24V, and 48V nominal systems, offering flexibility across various DC architectures.

Applications

This busbar is ideal for:

  • Marine DC distribution: Tidy up battery compartments on yachts, powerboats, and fishing vessels
  • RV and caravan power systems: Centralise connections for lights, pumps, inverters, and chargers
  • Off-grid solar setups: Combine multiple charge controllers, battery banks, and loads
  • Industrial and backup power: Organise DC circuits in remote telemetry, security, and communications equipment

Installation and Safety

Mounting the busbar is straightforward with pre-drilled holes in the ABS base. Use appropriate fasteners to secure it to a flat, non-conductive surface. Connect primary battery or inverter cables to the 1/4" studs using heavy-duty lugs, then attach branch circuits to the 10 terminal screws. Always torque connections to the recommended 7 N·m (60 lbf·inch) for optimal contact. The clear cover allows visual inspection without removal, aiding routine maintenance.

By consolidating connections, this busbar reduces the number of cable runs and potential failure points, improving overall system reliability. It also simplifies troubleshooting, as all terminations are accessible in one location.

Upgrade Your DC Distribution Today

Enhance the safety and efficiency of your electrical system with the Victron 150A 2P Busbar. Whether you're refitting a boat, building a campervan, or expanding an off-grid solar array, this busbar provides the reliable, high-current connectivity you need. Easy Read with good case studies!!
Format: Paperback
I had to purchase this for my Advanced Pathophysiology class in my Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. It is very easy to understand and have pretty good case studies. I like that the CD that accompanies the book goes into some detail in explaining the cases further and the disease processes without giving you the answers to the questions. It stimulates one to think!! Once this class is over I will go back from time to time to review!!

Helpful
Format: Paperback
This is a nice compliment to other classroom instruction materials. I am teaching an advanced pathophysiology course in a nurse practitioner program. This book is very helpful for students to put together the concepts of patho with the clinical setting. Will use these for in-class group assignments. Case-studies are thorough and offer a variety of different disease processes to choose from. It certainly does not offer a case study for every possible disease or clinical scenario, but does cover most major areas and enough variety in my opinion. Should be helpful in reinforcing the clinical significance of some difficult to understand concepts. I would recommend this text to course instructors.

No Answers Provided to Case Studies
Format: Paperback
The cases are helpful; however, realize that there are NO answers whatsoever to the questions presented in the cases--not a huge problem I suppose, b/c you can google everything, but certainly an annoyance. (esp. when there are multiple possible answers. The author states in the foreword that some of the cases are real; in which case, why not provide the justification presented in the patient's chart as to why that patient takes a particular drug, esp. considering that you may take a drug for its side effects rather than its therapeutic effect. . .anyhow. . ) I think if the author provided at least SOME insight/guidance to the cases that it would be much more helpful, but until then, I'm skeptical as to why others gave this book 5 stars.
