Then, almost without warning, they arrive — not the cheerful, uncomplicated orange of a juice carton, but something richer. Deeper. A color that sits somewhere between garnet and flame, with a scent that is equal parts bright and brooding, sweet and just slightly dangerous.

We spent a considerable amount of time thinking about how to put that in a bar of soap.

BLOOD ORANGE soap begins with real orange puree — not an approximation, not a suggestion — worked into a lather that is creamy, generous, and unhurried. Coconut oil. Olive oil. Rice bran. Castor.
