It —her mind— wanted, that she starts talking about her experiences, what she felt, and what she kept to herself. For not being a scholar, she lived a life rich in experiences. Still feel young, excited, loving life, nevertheless things at moments did surprise her. Wish not to share with selfish minds, those who unwelcome change, those with spirits of pain or decadence. The author wanted to continue enjoying life and, that is why, she started to write. She did not know what will come out of this or where it would take her. More than anything, these memoirs are a gift of love to her children and grandchild.

Sandra M. Colorado, a native from Cataño, Puerto Rico. She writes about social issues that she finds difficult for others to discuss, but for her, they deserve to be a piece of conversation. She is a firm believer that changes can happen on an individual-by-individual basis. Therefore, her goal is to entice them by using her writings which at times can be harsh and dense.

At present, she has published three books. The first of these was Siempre en viernes, spanish version of Always on Fridays. It won a gold medal at the 2022 International Latino Books Awards for Best First Book and honorable mention in the category of Best Family Story. The judges opined: "The storytelling flows through its entirety... phenomenal insights."
