In the left foreground a falconer wearing a cap and a light coloured thobe (long shirt) topped with a cartridge belt and leather suspenders stands in a patch of soft sand holding a peregrine falcon. A saddled thoroughbred Omani camel stands in profile to the right of the falconer, its head rope tied to a bush behind the man.
