What Does “Tuned with Squiglink” Mean?
“Tuned with Squiglink” is a program developed by Mark Ryan Sallee to help IEM manufacturers create products that sound their best while avoiding common tuning pitfalls. Drawing on over eight years of experience reviewing and measuring more than 500 IEMs, Mark combines careful listening, prototype measurements, expert feedback, and parametric EQ (PEQ) guidance to refine each IEM’s sound. This program isn’t about hitting a specific FR target curve — it’s about tuning IEMs to sound their best for the target customer.

Mark Ryan has more than eight years of experience reviewing and measuring more than 500 IEMs. He knows what makes an IEM stand out and what often limits its performance. Through “Tuned with Squiglink,” he works with manufacturers before a product launch, providing listening feedback, prototype measurements, and tuning advice to help each IEM reach its full sonic potential.

The Harrier project started with a simple goal: Deliver a balanced tuning that will appeal to a wide audience with a budget of around $330. An analysis of Squiglink usage patterns reveals two strong trends in tuning preference at this price bracket: DF neutral + bass boost, and IEF neutral + bass boost. And looking specifically at purchase intent analytics, an advantage emerges for IEF neutral + bass boost. With that direction in mind, we iterated on the tuning of Harrier, making adjustments based on Squiglink measurements and listening feedback, to ensure a smooth treble response on top of a proven popular tuning preference.

Crafted with great precision, this outstanding pair of in-ear monitors packs a solid nine-driver setup on each side, housing a 4th-generation dynamic driver unit, six high-performance balanced armature drivers, and dual composite micro planar drivers. These drivers are arranged together in a highly precise four-way frequency crossover with four independent acoustic tubes. JUZEAR has Tuned the Harrier with Squiglink, achieving a refined frequency response based on the IEF Neutral + Bass boosted sound curves. The pair delivers a rich and smooth sound profile with a natural tonality across the frequency band. In terms of design and build, the Juzear Harrier carries spectacular looks with CNC-carved hawk-eye stone for the face covers and 3D DLP printed resin material shells.

The main inspiration is implemented in the face plates that echo the story of Hawk-Eye with its CNC-carved Hawk-Eye stone. The pair carries exciting looks, premium sound, and a supremely comfortable design. The pair features genuine Blue Tiger’s eyes on the faceplate. Each unit has a flawless finish with a unique and beautiful texture!!

Juzear Harrier IEMs are designed to bring a true high-fidelity sound experience to its users. The pair utilizes a nine-driver tribrid configuration housing 1DD, 6BA, and 2 Micro Planar drivers on each side. Each driver here is carefully chosen and precisely adjusted to deliver a remarkable sound response. Harrier utilizes a customized dynamic driver with a carbon-based diaphragm, four customized balanced armature drivers for midrange, two Knowles balanced armature drivers for high-frequencies, and two composite micro-planers for the high-frequency region.
Four-Way Crossover with Independent Acoustic Tubes:-
In order to get the best out of each driver and their careful tuning, Juzear has implemented a four-way frequency crossover on the Harrier. Each driver setup is managed through precision ports with four independent acoustic tubes. The pair maintains balanced response between he drivers, ultra-low distortion in the output, and promises a wide soundscape with precise imaging. Each path is carefully designed for smooth sound signal flow and control, enhancing the overall sound quality of the Harrier.
