It has often been said that you can't get a high-performance home theatre experience and enjoy real audiophile sound quality for 2-channel listening from a single integrated receiver. Denon's AVC-X4800H is here to show that you can. With nine channels of discrete, mono-block constructed amplification and high-resolution audio processing, this surround sound powerhouse can give you the best of both worlds.

With the very latest video and audio formats catered for and a whopping 125 watts per channel (2-channels driven), the AVC-X4800H makes a fine centrepiece for any high-end multi-channel home entertainment system.

Versatile connectivity

With the AVC-X4800H, Denon has allowed for the growing 8K video and next-gen gaming market. The previous range of Denon AV receivers introduced limited 8K processing, along with gaming features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Quick Frame Transport (QFT). These features have been applied to the AVC-X4800H on all seven HDMI inputs and two of the three HDMI outputs, so you can accommodate even more modern tech into your system.

The X4800H may be a modern home cinema marvel but it hasn’t forgotten your legacy sources, it features two composite video connections and one component video input, ideal for connecting older non-HD sources like camcorders or early games consoles.

Advanced system calibration

Denon still includes the excellent Audyssey speaker calibration suite to help tune your system to your space. Coming later this year you'll also have the option to purchase and download the Dirac Live® advanced speaker calibration program to your Mac® or PC. Fine-tune the output of your system to match the unique sonic characteristics of your space and bring your surround sound to exciting new heights.

Wide range of speaker configurations

The AVC-X4800H has outputs for 11 speakers, and it can power up to nine at the same time. This gives you the flexibility to choose from different home theatre and wired multi-room music configurations.

Use all nine channels in a 5.1.4 or 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos® or DTS:X® home cinema system, or go with a more modest surround sound setup and use the extra channels for music in another zone. If you don't have height speakers, you can still enjoy simulated overhead effects with Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization.

You can even expand your system beyond the receiver's nine built-in channels of power. Its 11-channel RCA preamp outputs make it a respectable preamp/processor if you want to add separate amplifiers.

Music streaming built-in

The AVC-X4800H offers a wide choice of music streaming options, stream tunes from your phone or tablet through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even Apple AirPlay 2. It will also show up in your player list if you're using Roon (subscription required).

For vinyl lovers the AVC-X4800H has a built-in phono input for your turntable. And if you have any Hi-Res files in your digital music library, you can play them from a USB drive or networked computer.

Expand your system with HEOS Built-in

HEOS Built-in technology lets you access all of your music — from your personal library, internet radio, and popular streaming services like Spotify and TIDAL through the 'X4800H.

This receiver can be easily integrated into a wireless multi-room audio system as well. Stream music to other HEOS enabled wireless speakers and components in different rooms, and control each room's sound independently with the free HEOS app.

The app lets you control playback, browse music sources, and select which rooms you want to use. Play the same music throughout your home or listen to something different in each room.

Just ask Alexa...

The HEOS Home Entertainment skill for Amazon Alexa lets you use your Echo devices to issue voice commands to the AVR-X4800H. You can easily switch inputs and control volume and playback on the receiver and other HEOS enabled devices.

Alexa can also help you search for music and stream different content to different rooms in your multi-room HEOS system.
