The Eka is an early 35 mm camera, made in about 1924 by E. Krauss in Paris. It makes 30×44 mm exposures on unperforated 35mm film, and holds enough film for 100 exposures. The camera has a 5cm f/3.5 Tessar (marked for both Krauss and Zeiss, so perhaps made by or for Krauss under licence), and a dial-set Compur shutter with speeds 1 - 1/300 second, plus 'B'. The film advance key and frame counter window are on the bottom. The winding key locks when the film has advanced a full frame. There is a sliding catch to unlock it to advance the film the next time; operating this catch causes the frame counter to advance. Die Kamera hat ein 5cm Tessar f/3,5 (sowohl für Krauss als auch für Zeiss gekennzeichnet, also vielleicht von oder für Krauss in Lizenz hergestellt) und einen Rädchen Compur-Verschluss mit Geschwindigkeiten von 1 - 1/300 Sekunde, plus 'B'. Die Filmtransporttaste und das Bildzählfenster befinden sich auf der Unterseite. Die Filmtransporttaste wird verriegelt, wenn der Film um ein ganzes Bild weitergelaufen ist. Es gibt einen Schieber zum Entriegeln, um den Film das nächste Mal vorzuschieben; durch Betätigung dieses Schiebers wird der Bildzähler weitergeschaltet.
