Sparrow Steeple's music exists in it's own universe. An imagined utopia (or is it a dystopia?) of wolfmen, murderous wizards, whispering woods & leprechaun treasure. Their second album "Tin Top Sorcerer" arrives near the front end of 2019, just in time for spring to blossom. Comprised of three members of inscrutable indie legends Strapping Fieldhands, Sparrow Steeple specialize in mini-opuses that drift & careen haphazardly like Grimm's Fairy Tales sung by Syd Barrett - psychedelic tales of rapturous joy & sinister machinations by creatures real & imagined, all wrapped around dreamlike tunes of avant folk, psychedelia, and outsider music. "Roll Baby's" drunken-tavern sing-a-long is peppered by blistering guitar leads & wobbly harmonica, while "Stabbing Wizards" backwards guitar lends a foggy aura of disquiet to the tale of treachery & betrayal. Despite the fantastic yarns spun (see the tragic tale of the "Wolfman of Mayberry", or "Girl of the Whispering Woods"), "Tin Top Sorcerer" has an air of magical realism that place these songs in a place simultaneously out-of-time and from a possible future, permeated by a sense that these things could actually have happened (or will happen) at some point in our shared existence.

I love the smell of sunscreen. Banana boat, Coppertone, it doesn't matter. So I'm not bothered by "sunscreen smell." But this isn't sunscreen smell. It's more chemically than that. It's not even necessarily "bad" per se, it doesn't stink, but it's not something I would personally choose to smell like in other circumstances. Almost a little plasticky.
Besides that, it's extremely wearable. Blends in to my skin no problem, leaves a moisturized but not greasy feel on the skin. If you can deal with that strange smell, which seems to fade after a little

No sunburn

We have been using this in Hawaii for the past week (it meets Hawaiian sunscreen requirements). Out of the 4 of us, none of us have gotten a sunburn at the beach or pool! We do reapply every 1 to 2 hours. Will buy again!

Light, Moisturizing, and Smells Great, Totally Worth It
Style: Sunscreen Lotion 70 SPF, Size: 6.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I’ve been loving this Neutrogena Beach Defense sunscreen. It goes on so smoothly and feels more like a light body lotion than a typical sunscreen, which I really appreciate. It’s super easy to apply and doesn’t leave that sticky or greasy feeling that a lot of other sunscreens do. My skin actually feels hydrated after I use it, which is a nice bonus especially when I’m out in the sun all day.
The scent is fresh and beachy, not overpowering or too “sunscreen-y,” and it fades nicely after a while. It also absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a white cast, which makes it great for reapplying throughout the day. I’ve used it at the pool, the beach, and just for everyday sun protection, and it’s held up really well every time.
It’s a little pricier than some drugstore sunscreens, but honestly, the quality makes it worth it. It feels good on my skin, protects well, and doesn’t make me feel gross after hours in the sun. I’ll definitely be picking up another bottle when this one runs out.
