E. Vains was originally called simply The Vains but expanded their name to avoid confusion with other groups. For the bands four Americans, the N. Originally formed in autumn of 2022 between TJ Cabot and Jeffrey Thunders to pass the time during the doldrums of the lockdown, the project N.E. Vains was originally called simply “The Vains” but expanded their name to avoid confusion with other groups. For the band’s four Americans, the N.E. stands for New England, and for the sole Canadian in the band, it means North Eastern.
With the addition of Shandy Lawnson (lead guitar), Bill Bates (bass) and Elvis Belushi (drums), the collaboration put together a collection of 14 songs, three of which ended up on a split 7″ with Chinese Junk in 2023 on Big Neck Records (Buffalo N.Y.) and Brassneck Records (U.K). Tragically, Bates passed in 2023 and the split was dedicated to his incredible memory. With New Haven area rock musician and engineer, Scott Fitch, taking over on bass, the band have compiled their latest 11-track LP Running Down Pylons, out November 2025 on Big Neck Records.

Tough toys!
Color: Orange & Blue
We have 2 deogs, a large Aussie and a small terrior. The little guy is very hard on toys. Few last a full day. We have thrown away hundreds of $ worth of toys, We have had these for a few months, and he has not managed to destoy them yet. They get played with a lot because he has very few toys. I keep trying to find toys which will survive this dog. He hjas even destroyed Kong toys which are pretty tough, but has not destroyed these. I wrote this review as I cam back to order more toys from this company, because it is great to have some which can stand up to his abuse.

Our dogs love these
Color: Orange & Blue
We have two rough collies that love to play fetch, tug, and ragdoll. We decided to add these to their play toys. Since getting them they have been ignoring their ducks and going straight for the octopus. We just got them so can’t say much about durability yet but they have been playing with them for hours and still look brand new. Love giving our dogs choices so we can ask them for certain animals to fetch. Love the non-stuffing and the crinkle.

Not for Aggressive Chewers

My Dog Loves them. He immediately took the squeaker out, and dismantled some of the legs, but he still runs around trying to play tug-of-war and fetch with the dismembered body piece's 😂☺️

Didn't even last an hour!

I had high hopes for these toys as the description sounded like they might be not easily destructible. Well, I was dissapointed again. Our shih-poo (half shih-tzu/ half minature poodle) had one of the toys apart in an hour. See photo.
