Whereas the band's three previous albums featured anywhere from two to four completely instrumental space rock jams, the California trio's fourth album, Black Heaven, is nothing like that. "It's quite different," drummer Mario Rubalcaba says with a laugh. "It has six songs, and most importantly it has vocals on about 70 percent of the record. There goes being pigeonholed as an instrumental band, I guess..." Black Heaven takes on a more classic rock hue than previous outings. "For me personally, the psychedelic thing is pretty important," Rubalcaba offers. "But I'm not sure if we'll always be on the crazier side of things musically. Even on this record, there are moments when it's more psyched-out, but we've always been really big fans of classic rock stuff like ZZ Top, James Gang, Allman Brothers - and of course, Cream. There would be no Earthless if it wasn't for CREAM. They're like the great-grandfathers of power trios. So, some of those simpler influences have leaked through on this record. To me, [album opener] 'Gifted By The Wind' has a more JAMES GANG or ZZ TOP vibe than Flower Travellin' Band or any of the krautrock stuff. With all the vocals and harmonies, that's definitely a different direction for us."

Excellent monitor!!! Be aware that it does not have internal speakers.

Beautiful image. This monitor is excellent and I am very happy with it.
However, you should be aware that it does not have any internal speakers and it does not have any audio input. It does have audio output for external speakers or headphones. For me, this was not a problem since I use a USB external speaker for better clarity.
The lack of internal speakers was a surprise to me, but I suppose since the lack of speakers mentioned in the product description should have tipped me off.

I needed an monitor for my work office and I am glad I got it. It suits the job. The screen is nice and bright, clear, and runs smooth. It is easy to set up but I wish it could swivel around and had some height too it. Overall, It was a good buy for the 24 inch screen. I would definitely buy it again. The sound quality is great,no issues so far with the monitor at all.

Works as it should

I started a new job a few months ago and I get to work from home one day a week. They do not pay for you to set up a home office however, so I was looking for a cheap monitor for part of my set up. I came across this one and decided to try it out.
I work in client service for a finance company so a lot of what I use it for is email, other conversational programs, and then our custodian software. I’m not doing anything crazy. I have it connected to a name brand laptop and it was very easy to set up with no issues. It turned right on.
The picture quality is nice. Again, I’m not doing editing or anything on this so it works for what I need. It does NOT have speakers, so I do need to use the speakers on my laptop( which can be annoying), but again it’s not a deal breaker.
I have been using it now for 5 months and it’s been working really well for my set up. I am thinking of getting a second monitor and I would get another of these but also I do want a speaker so I don’t know that I would get this exact version.
For the price, if you are looking for something basic for normal work from home needs, this does the trick!
