Tremco Dymonic® 100

High-Performance, High-Movement Single-Component Polyurethane Sealant | Brand: Tremco

Tremco Dymonic 100 is a single-component, moisture-curing polyurethane sealant for high-movement joints in commercial and institutional construction. Designed for specifiers, glazing contractors, and building envelope professionals. Confirm suitability, primer requirements, joint design, and substrate compatibility against the current Tremco TDS, SDS, and project specification before use.

Professional note: Dymonic 100 is rated for ±50% joint movement. Joint design, substrate preparation, and correct tooling are critical to achieving a durable, watertight seal. Always confirm substrate compatibility and primer requirements against the current TDS before application.

Product Description

Dymonic 100 cures by reaction with atmospheric moisture to form a flexible, permanently elastic seal. Its single-component formulation eliminates on-site mixing. The cured sealant is formulated for UV exposure, weathering, and temperature cycling on exposed exterior joints; confirm UV and weathering performance against the current TDS for your specific exposure conditions.

With a ±50% movement capability, Dymonic 100 is designed to accommodate the thermal expansion, structural movement, and substrate deflection typical of modern commercial construction. It is paintable after full cure and available in a range of colours; confirm colour availability with Canopus Supply before specifying.

Key Characteristics

  • ±50% joint movement capability — designed for high thermal and structural movement in commercial building joints; confirm joint design requirements against the TDS.
  • Single-component, moisture-curing — no mixing required; apply directly from the cartridge or sausage pack.
  • Adhesion to multiple substrates — designed for adhesion to concrete, masonry, metal, glass, aluminum, and many coated surfaces; confirm primer requirements by substrate against the current TDS.
  • UV and weather resistance properties — formulated for exposed exterior joints; confirm UV and weathering performance against the TDS for your specific exposure conditions.
  • Paintable after full cure — accepts latex and oil-based paints; do not paint over uncured sealant.
  • Non-sag formula — designed for vertical and overhead joint applications; confirm suitability against the TDS.
  • Colour range — available in multiple standard colours; confirm current availability with Canopus Supply before specifying.

Typical Applications

  • Expansion and control joints in concrete and masonry facades
  • Curtain wall and storefront perimeter sealing
  • Precast concrete panel joints
  • Window and door perimeter sealing
  • Metal panel and composite cladding joints
  • Parking structure and podium deck perimeter joints
  • General building envelope joint sealing

Surface Preparation & Application

Substrates must be clean, dry, sound, and free of dust, oil, grease, laitance, and incompatible coatings. Install backer rod to the correct depth to achieve the joint width-to-depth ratio specified in the TDS. Apply sealant by gun, tool immediately to ensure full contact with joint faces, and finish smooth. Remove masking tape before the sealant skins. Refer to the current Tremco TDS for primer requirements by substrate, application temperature range, and cure times.

Limitations

  • Not for use in joints subject to continuous water immersion unless specifically approved by Tremco.
  • Do not apply to wet, frozen, or contaminated substrates.
  • Do not apply below 4°C or above 40°C ambient temperature; confirm temperature requirements against the TDS.
  • Not recommended for structural glazing or load-bearing applications.
  • Do not paint until fully cured — premature painting may cause adhesion failure.
  • Confirm primer requirements for porous, coated, or non-standard substrates against the current TDS before application.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store in original, unopened cartridges or sausage packs in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not freeze. Confirm shelf life and storage temperature requirements against the product label and current TDS.

Health & Safety

Read the current Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Contains isocyanate prepolymers — wear gloves, eye protection, and ensure adequate ventilation. Refer to the SDS for full hazard classification and first-aid measures.

Good quality, Best for schools and shops.
Size: 0.16 x 1.42 ,0.24 x 1.77 ,0.35 x 2.36 Inch
I bought this butyl repair patch and the quality is good. I brought it to the school where I’m learning automotive repair and used it as a teaching consumable. Many students tried it, and everyone thought it worked very well. One thing I would suggest for individual buyers: pay attention to the size combinations in the package. For most car owners, you may end up using only one size more often. Because of that, this mixed-size packaging is probably more suitable for schools, training programs, or auto repair shops where different sizes are needed regularly. Overall, it’s still a good quality product and performs exactly as expected.

Look very useful
Size: 0.16 x 1.42 ,0.24 x 1.77 ,0.35 x 2.36 Inch
Haven't actually used them yet, but they look like the perfect way to fix a flat. As can be seen they come in various sizes depending on what you will need. All you need to get is some tire patch rubber cement and a good inner tire sealer (I picked up a can of Xtra Seal)

Saved me from buying a tire
Size: 0.16 x 1.42 ,0.24 x 1.77 ,0.35 x 2.36 Inch, Size: 0.16 x 1.42 ,0.24 x 1.77 ,0.35 x 2.36 Inch
Took our ancient van on a trip to Florida (from IL) and wouldn't you know we picked up some debris in construction. I was able to plug it however the next morning it was flat again. This time I used 2 plugs to and we were able to get home on that. Realizing this wasn't what I wanted my wife driving around and I didn't wanna buy tires for a van with 250k on it I set out to find some internal patches. I pulled the tire off using a harbor freight bead breaker and some motion pro spoons, used vulcanizing Compound and a dremel and patched it right up. Once the tire is off its a really easy process and I just marked my tire and rim to keep the balance close when it went back together. All appears to be working perfectly with no leaks over the past few weeks. This cost way less than a new tire and now I have more for other holes in the future

worked great for Me
Size: 0.16 x 1.42 ,0.24 x 1.77 ,0.35 x 2.36 Inch
I have only used two patches so far, and they have worked just fine, You do have to have some tools like a buffing wheel and the vulcanizing glue and a roller wheel to make these patches work as they should, but I am happy with these patches, especially since nobody will repair a motorcycle tire, so this is Your only way to fix them.
