One catheter serves the purpose of two. This versatile catheter can both unblock and remain indwelling for bladder drainage. This innovative single-device method is crafted to minimize the chances of infection and trauma that can arise from using two separate catheters.
The optional FLUSHING STYLET allows for flushing through the stylet during insertion, enhancing usability. A new movable suture device permits length adjustments for optimal fit. This product improves upon the standard designs of Tomcat, Jackson, and Slippery Sam™ urinary catheters.
It features a non-irritating radiopaque polyurethane material that is rigid for effortless insertion but softens at body temperature while indwelling. The catheter has a finished open tip and a Luer lock for secure attachment to a CLOSED COLLECTION SYSTEM (see "Urinary Collection Closed System").
With a length of 25cm, this catheter provides exceptional flexibility in securing it. The extra length allows for the collection bag connector to be secured at the tail or back of the cat, minimizing catheter tension at the prepuce during movement.
