Our high quality stainless steel is the perfect thickness at .008" (.20mm). We use a precision manufacturing process free of burrs and leaves all edges smooth and rounded, so it protects the fretboard without damaging it. The tapered design has slot sizes that measure from the first fret .125" (3.18mm) W x 2.075" (52.715mm) L to the last fret .125" (3.18mm) W x 2.516" (63.916mm) L and fits all fret sizes (from narrow to jumbo) found on 6 string guitars.
Our innovative formed drop-down edges allow the rubber bands we include to hold the Fret Shield in place securely and keep the bands below the top surface to avoid damaging them during the polishing process. The bands also help perfectly form the shield to every fretboard radius.
Rigorously tested and designed to be used with power buffing wheels, power polishing pads and other polishing systems. Laser etched logo and size will withstand sanding and filing during fretwork. Extremely useful for protecting all unfinished (rosewood, ebony) and finished (poly and lacquer) fretboards. Convenient hang hole.
