This beautiful Vancouver Island beach stone heart was found by me just minutes from my home, when I lived on Vancouver Island.  It is so imperfectly perfect and that is what I treasure about it most.

As described by a friend, “…these rugged hearts, you know they’re strong and true because they’ve withstood so much to become hearts.”

Encapsulated in a fine silver border, this stone rests on a sterling silver back plate that features my makers mark on the backside. 

I've often been asked how I shape my hearts.  With the exception of flattening the backs, all of them are shaped by the ocean.  I keep their original shapes as I have found them on the beach, making them all that much more special.
