The goal with the Supervillian was not to simply make a new pedal. Deity wanted to create a true work of art. A masterpiece that is lighter and stronger than anything they have created up to this point.
When looking at the pedal, you can see some similarities to their acclaimed TMAC. Boasting a concave platform displaying an 18mm width on the outer edge tapering to a 14mm width in the center, 2.5mm of concave profile, and 14 dual access pins on each side. With this said the similarities stop there.
For starters, Deity machined every ounce of aluminum from the pedal body for weight reduction purposes without sacrificing the strength that they are so well known for. The pedal body itself is 113x105mm, creating a large sturdy platform for your foot. They've reconfigured the inner pins by pushing them toward the center of the pedal for added traction and feature Deity’s load distribution system to prevent bearing blowout. They top it off with an acid wash technique to provide a satin finish and deep color luster with lasered graphics. The chamfered edges around the pins, skeletal construction, and large windows create an incredibly sleek and refined design that represents the next evolution of Deity.
