The Barr Brothers are survivors. Flying just below the radar since 2011, their elusiveness is as much a part of the design as it is a cultural curiosity. The brothers, Brad and Andrew Barr, are a testament to the staying power of family in music.

Having first made their mark as The Slip long before moving to Montreal in 2005, they have made a career out of intuitive sound/song building, defying expectations, and not giving up. Between 2011's "The Barr Brothers", 2014's "Sleeping Operator", and 2017's "Queens Of The Breakers" alone, they've garnered hundreds of millions of streams and earned three JUNO Award nominations by creating lush arrangements out of heart-spun melodies, using harp, pedal steel, brass, and lots of experimentation.

But it's really 2025's "Let It Hiss" that has affirmed their status as a musical force.
