This is a really great example of what French workshop cellos are renowned for; made by the Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy company in Mirecourt, and labelled 'Thiery a Paris', as is typical of these cellos the tone is rich and resonant, but extremely clean and clear, with an immediate response and great projection, whilst also being of comparatively light construction and very easy to handle. It is covered in original, deep red varnish and is in generally great condition, currently set up with a combination of Larsen and Passione strings, a Belgian style bridge, and benefits from having had geared pegs fitted for ease of tuning. An absolute must-see.
