Our journey began with a global quest for the ideal Rooibos tea leaf:

Rooibos or Red Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves come from the Aspalathus Linearis (red bush) plant grown in South Africa.  Rooibos is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties.  It is naturally caffeine-free and low in tannins (so it has no bitterness).  Red Rooibos leaves are crushed, allowed to undergo natural oxidation/fermentation, then dried.  They have a light, nutty, woody taste with a hint of sweetness.  Our Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves are organic and Fair Trade. Tea blends are made with organic and 100% pure natural ingredients.

Green Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves are Rooibos or red Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves that are unfermented and are steamed and dried to prevent oxidation/fermentation.  It has a mild smooth and grassy flavor similar to traditional green tea.  Our Green Rooibos loose leaf tea leaves are organic and Fair Trade.  Tea blends are made with organic and 100% pure natural ingredients.
