Unlock scalable, high-capacity connectivity with the Cisco 10GBASE-DWDM 1558.98 nm SFP+ module. Built for enterprise data centers and service provider networks, this transceiver leverages dense wavelength-division multiplexing on the 100-GHz ITU grid to maximize fiber capacity while preserving low latency and high reliability. The SFP+ form factor enables easy integration into existing Cisco infrastructure, delivering a plug-and-play upgrade path that minimizes downtime and simplifies capacity expansion. With Cisco's engineering heritage and robust design, this DWDM transceiver stands ready for demanding 10 Gigabit Ethernet deployments across metropolitan, campus, and long-haul networks. Whether you're upgrading a data center interconnect, expanding a service provider backbone, or optimizing a campus backbone, this module provides a precise, stable optical channel that complements your fiber plant and network strategy.

  • High-performance 10 Gbps data rate on a precise 1558.98 nm wavelength that sits on the 100-GHz ITU grid, enabling dense channel packing and efficient use of fiber; designed to deliver consistent, carrier-grade performance across DWDM networks with minimal dispersion impact and excellent BER characteristics, ensuring reliable backbone connections in data centers, campuses, and service provider backbones. This module is engineered to maintain optical integrity across multiplexed channels, helping you achieve predictable throughput and reliable service levels even under heavy traffic loads. By stabilizing the optical signal with tight wavelength control, it reduces the risk of crosstalk and channel interference while supporting scalable growth as you add more DWDM channels.
  • Compact SFP+ form factor for easy deployment and hot-swapping that fits standard Cisco switch and router ports, enabling rapid installation with minimal downtime. The SFP+ package is designed for seamless integration into existing infrastructure, preserving rack space and reducing footprint while maintaining full hot-swappability for maintenance windows. This form factor simplifies inventory management and replacements across large networks, so you can upgrade or expand capacity without complex reconfigurations. In practice, the module slides into any compatible SFP+ slot and is recognized by the device’s OS, enabling immediate link negotiation and link-agnostic operation within your 10 Gigabit Ethernet fabric.
  • Designed for dense, scalable DWDM deployments with stable wavelength stability and consistent optical performance across channels on the ITU grid. The 100-GHz grid spacing supports multiple channels over the same fiber pair, enabling operators to scale capacity as demand grows without pulling additional fiber. The transceiver’s optical budget and receiver sensitivity are tuned to maximize reach and performance in typical data-center interconnects, metro networks, and long-haul links, while maintaining compatibility with a wide range of Cisco equipment and network architectures. This makes it an ideal choice for scalable architectures where future-proofing and modular growth are priorities.
  • Reliability and efficiency built into Cisco-grade hardware with robust environmental tolerances and rigorous manufacturing standards. Expect dependable operation under a variety of conditions, with protection features that help guard against electrostatic discharge and minor electrical transients. The module’s power use is optimized for data-center environments, supporting continuous operation with low thermal load and minimal impact on overall device cooling. Its longevity and consistent performance align with service-level requirements, helping to reduce maintenance cycles and ensure stable network operation across critical paths.
  • Ideal use-cases across data centers, campuses, and service provider networks where high-density DWDM transport is essential. This transceiver is well-suited for data center interconnects, backbone links, metro deployments, and disaster-recovery networks that require reliable, high-speed transport over single-mode fiber. By leveraging the 1558.98 nm channel on the ITU grid, you can optimize existing fiber infrastructure, reduce capex by increasing channel count on a single fiber pair, and simplify network design with Cisco-supported interoperability. The module supports straightforward integration with Cisco management tools, enabling streamlined provisioning, monitoring, and fault isolation in complex, multi-site environments.

Technical Details of Cisco 10GBASE-DWDM 1558.98 nm SFP+ (100-GHz ITU grid)

how to install Cisco 10GBASE-DWDM 1558.98 nm SFP+ (100-GHz ITU grid)

  • Prepare for installation: Power down the host or confirm that your Cisco device supports hot-swapping of SFP+ modules. Identify an appropriate SFP+ slot with adequate airflow and clear labeling, then ensure you have the correct fiber type and connectors for the DWDM link.
  • Insert the transceiver: Gently align the module with the SFP+ slot and insert until it seats with a firm click. Avoid applying side pressure or twisting the module. Verify that the device recognizes the transceiver in its management interface and that no errors are reported during the post-insertion self-test.
  • Connect the fiber link: Use single-mode fiber with the correct LC connectors and ensure the fiber is clean and free of dust. Connect the transmit to the receive path on the other end, matching the ITU Grid channel (100 GHz spacing) at 1558.98 nm. Maintain proper fiber routing and bending radii to preserve signal integrity.
  • Configure the interface for 10 Gbps DWDM operation: Enable the corresponding interface on the Cisco device, set the speed to 10 Gbps, and apply any vendor-recommended transceiver settings. Configure optics budgets, media type, and any necessary DWDM-specific parameters or cross-connect policies per your network design. Save the configuration and verify that the interface negotiates successfully.
  • Validate link quality and performance: Run end-to-end tests to confirm the link is up and carrying the expected traffic. Monitor optical power levels, BER, and error counters, and observe SFP+ diagnostics if supported by your device. Confirm that latency and jitter meet service requirements and document the deployment for future maintenance or expansions.

Perfect
Color: White, Size: Throw-50"x60"
Warm, soft, big and gorgeous. This is exactly the blanket I was looking for to make my club chair look chic while also being useful, not simply decorative.

Shade of color is off a bit….
Color: Browngrey, Size: Throw-50"x60", Color: Browngrey, Size: Throw-50"x60"
I ordered two blankets to replace the queen size blanket I had originally, one being a throw blanket for the chase portion of the couch and the larger twin size blanket for the back rest of the couch. PROS: the blankets are beautiful!! They’re soft and luxurious with fluffy fur on one side and a velvety smooth mushroom/sage color on the other side. The sizes work perfectly together giving good coverage for such a large couch. I haven’t had any issues with shedding which was my concern. Washability seems easy enough. I’m gonna have to be careful with the drying process as to not damage the synthetic fibers. CONS: the color…. It’s not what was advertised at all. I ordered the brown/grey. what I got was more of a SANDY TAN/DARK GREY. (They use a color filter on the example photos which doesn’t translate well in person) At first I hated the color but it slowly grew on me! Works well with the rest of the living room decor and gives our space a cozy elegant vibe. I included photos of different times throughout the day to showcase how different lighting affects the color of the fur.

Color: Browngrey, Size: Queen-80"x80"
Honestly I love this blanket and want to buy a few more. Its thick & warm like it could be real fur. I just don’t know how to wash it but thats a given for faux fur. I bought the queen & it fits perfectly on my bed. I have started using it as a couch cover during the winter and it is very comfortable & soft.

Nice after fluffing & brushing
Color: White, Size: Throw-50"x60"
Thought it was scruffy and not soft enough but followed the directs to fluff and wait 24 hours, which helped. The kicker was brushing out the rough spots with a hair brush. Lovely now and definitely a bargain comparatively.
