This master cylinder is an excellent choice for many scenarios, be it repair of an older bike with poor parts availability, a ground-up custom, or a radically altered stock bike. The 14mm bore size is nearly identical to 9/16" units, so this master cylinder is hydraulically suitable for many machines, and the availability for both common handlebar diameters makes this a very flexible brake component mechanically, too.
