A festive challah cover designed to accompany the studio’s ceramic challah tray. The cover features the word “Challah” in Hebrew, created in the same typographic language as the tray itself. Drawing inspiration from modernist design, the piece carries a graphic visual presence rooted in Hebrew typography and influenced by local visual culture. Ceramic grape-shaped beads are sewn onto the fabric, adding a handcrafted decorative element connected to the symbolism of the Shabbat table.
Balancing between tradition and contemporary design, the cover functions as both a ceremonial object and part of a broader visual language developed by the studio.
Made to order in a Tel Aviv studio, each piece carries slight variations, making every cover unique.
