Background

FIS1 (Mitochondrial Fission Protein 1) is a 17-kDa outer mitochondrial membrane protein that plays a central role in mitochondrial quality control by promoting organellar fission: under stress it recruits the GTPase DRP1 to form a constriction ring that severs mitochondria, while also inhibiting fusion proteins (MFN/OPA1), engaging mitophagy adaptors (TBC1D15/17) to clear damaged fragments, and interacting with BAP31 to amplify apoptotic signals, thereby governing mitochondrial morphology, energy metabolism, cell survival and—when dysregulated—tumorigenesis or neurodegeneration.

a beautiful important history book
Format: Hardcover
What an amazing book! This book is the version with incredible photos as part of the history story. I couldn't believe how vivid this was when I opened up the book. I'd been wanting the book for a while, because so little is told of the enslaved people's history in this country. It is important for us to understand our past, and without books like this one we do not have the full story. Thank you to the authors who put together this beautiful book.

This book is well written, insightful and well illustrated.
Format: Hardcover
Very interesting, well written and illustrated book. I haven’t experienced this through the eyes of people other than myself. We all believe we are on the correct side of history but the truth is a very strong thing when introduced to you. The truth is a beacon to the feet of our country as we move forward but we have gone off path. Thankfully it is not too late because we are all human.
