The AHA and BHA are the chemical exfoliants and work just like they do in any other product. The pads are very moist and stay saturated in the container as long as you keep the lid shut. There’s no strong fragrance and they haven’t irritated my skin. Another unexpected benefit is how much better my makeup applies now.
