The legacy of the pioneers of Anatolian rock in a new format: eclectic psychedelic sounds, backed by dub, Anatolian funk rock, electric baglama and progressive rhythms. Elektro Hafiz is a musician, born and raised in Istanbul, who has since moved to Cologne, Germany. Already well known in Turkey, he can look back on 20 years as a professional musician. With his former band Fairuz Derin Bulut he created and released three albums, which represent a milestone in the Anatolian psychedelic rock music of the second generation in Turkey. Elektro Hafiz has shown and proven openness to various and sometimes contradicting music styles by mixing eastern instruments like the electric saz, darbuka and finger cymbals with different genres. He loves to play with contrasts and create new compositions from there. This open and experimental approach is still his trademark, as well as his charming provocative style that is complemented by a healthy dose of humor. His diverse compositions are heavily influenced by his Anatolian roots, which are reflected in his instrument of choice, the electric saz, in most of his pieces. A further ingenious characteristic of him is using the electric guitar as a rock instrument while at the same time applying the Anatolian harmony system, or scale. Elektro Hafiz, his first solo album, showcases a more open and progressive format to his main base influence - the Anatolian psychedelic music. On this album he played a lot of different instruments by himself and also invited artists from different countries such as Kenya, France, Turkey, Switzerland, Austria and Germany to contribute. There are nine songs on this album and except for one cover song, all lyrics and the music are written by Elektro Hafiz.

Updated review: spitting and splintering
UPDATE:
Originally, one of the boards arrived with a split in it, but I was still happy with them. After a few weeks of light use, hand washing and drying of the boards, I figured it was time to update this review and knock these down to 1 star.
The boards do not hold up very well. Cut marks are deep, and they are starting to splinter. Another of the boards has also developed a split.
Save your money and go with cutting boards from someone else.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I bought these cutting boards to cut down on microplastic exposure. This would be a 5 star review except that one of the boards arrived cracked (noticed while hand washing all of them before use). Despite the one cracked board, I did not return them, as I immediately started using the boards, was too busy to deal with it at the time, and the overall value was still there.
These boards are great, the value is excellent since you get several of different sizes. I like that all sizes have the moat for juices, because sometimes you are cutting one or two chicken breasts or one steak and don’t want to have to grab a big board.
I honestly am writing this review because I wouldn’t be surprised if the company sends me a replacement. If they do, I will update the review to reflect their customer service.

Worth the money

This 3-piece pre-oiled bamboo cutting board isfantastic. The carbonized bamboo gives them a rich, warm tone that looks much nicer than standard cutting boards.
I really appreciate the variety of sizes. They feel sturdy without being too heavy, and they stay in place well while cutting.

The Best buy for my kitchen

Great quality cutting boards! The carbonized bamboo feels durable yet lightweight, and they look beautiful in the kitchen. I love that they come pre-oiled and are non-toxic. The three sizes are super practical, and the hanging hole is a nice bonus. Definitely a great buy!
