Background

CD80, the first identified member of the B7 family, is a protein that is widely expressed across a variety of tissues and is also found on some malignant tumor cells. This distribution suggests a potential mechanism by which tumor cells can evade the immune system. Recognized as a potent costimulatory molecule, CD80 plays a significant role in how immune cells regulate malignant growth.
CD80 is upregulated in response to cellular stress and is essential for effective immune surveillance, particularly during the process of carcinogenesis. Studies have reported that a low surface expression of CD80 on colon carcinoma cells can be an immune evasion mechanism. Conversely, in colorectal cancers (CRC) with high-frequency microsatellite instability (MSI), a subtype known for its immunogenicity and association with better prognosis, CD80 expression is often increased.
Both in vivo and in vitro research has demonstrated that increased CD80 expression on the surface of tumor cells can effectively activate antitumor immune responses. However, during tumor progression, the expression of CD80 is frequently diminished, possibly due to selective pressures exerted by the immune system.
Given these findings, enhancing CD80 expression in tumors is a strategy that urgently needs to be explored for the development of effective cancer immunotherapies.

Your dog Might Not Be as Excited as You Are
Size: Max Size
It arrived and worked as expected. Throws a good distance, not loud & easy to use. However, my rescue Belgian Shepherd (24/7 ball dog) was totally scared of it. Work with her for a week but she would literally avoid even being in the same room. Being she is rescue you never know what happen to them in the past. Moral of the story, just bc you have a full-on ball dog doesn’t mean they will be excited as you are. Unfortunately had to return.

Good but not great. We had to return. We liked it first out of box BUT as soon as the balls got damp from grass and slobber they were not launching well.

Inside winter fun ball launcher
Size: Max Size
Bought this for our three dogs to play with in the winter as Houston is typically cold and rainy and limits outside play, this will be our new winter indoor activity. We are still in the learning process of putting the ball back in the launcher, we have only played with it a handful of times at most and they retrieve the balls back to the launcher but haven’t consistently put it back IN the launcher when there is a human at the launcher to do it for them. As we play with it more I know they will catch the concept along with the balls. Love that the product has three launching distances, indoor I’m using the short distance. Having 6 balls is also great, right now they are launching and rolling under the Christmas tree and my newly tri-pod dog cannot go under to get them. The ball launcher is super easy to use, I didn’t even have to look at the instructions. The design is nice and it is built very well. This launcher was a bit pricier than others but it had the best reviews. I used Amazon coupons, rewards and a gift cards and got it for zero dollars. Overall, I’m very happy with this product and the dogs have allot of fun with it and get excited when I bring it out. I have not had any problems with this product, the only slight thing to mention is that once about every 10 or more balls the launcher throws the next ball up will just sit, a little nudge from me or a dog will get that ball launching again. I have nudgers so this isn’t going to be a thing. We love this product and give it 10 of 10 stars. Should something happen I would buy this launcher all over again. May even consider as a gift for a family member with 7 dogs.

Exceeded expectations!
Size: Mini Size
This ball launcher has been the best thing we ever bought. We have a golden retriever who of course, like most goldens, is ball obsessed. I have thrown my fair share. I decided to see if my golden was smart enough to use this so we pulled the trigger. It took 3 days of on an off training and BAM! We are in business! This launcher has been a CHAMP! We've had it a month now and it has survived over and over of constant use. The balls are covered in pure slobber and nastiness but the machine keeps going. We do keep it plugged in and only use it indoors. Sometimes the ball does get stuck but it's easy to push it back through. The only complaint I have, and it's no fault to the company, but we are already on our 2nd pack of replacement balls. Honestly, it's been worth it. I probably should have purchased the bigger size but I didn't want to invest in it if he wouldn't use it. Definitely regretting it now!
