This is not just yarn - it’s the result of hours of skilled, hands-on craftsmanship, from fleece to finished skein. Every stage of the journey matters, and you can feel it in every metre.

Starting with our own premium Wensleydale combed top from the Home Farm flock, the fibre is carefully prepared to preserve its natural strength, sheen, and softness.  The dyeing process is done with patience and precision, allowing the colours to develop depth, richness, and beautiful variation, no shortcuts, just thoughtful, small-batch artistry.

Each skein is then hand-spun by Corinne Milan, a designer with over 40 years of experience.  Her expertise shows in the balance, drape, and consistency of this Aran-weight yarn, created with genuine care and attention to every detail.

The result is a truly special yarn: soft yet durable, with the signature lustre Wensleydale is loved for.  The colours flow and shift in a way only hand-dyed fibre can achieve, making every skein completely unique.

Because of the time, skill, and care involved in both preparation and dyeing, these skeins are produced in very limited quantities.  Owning one means holding something genuinely rare - crafted slowly, intentionally, and with heart.
