A new project by Davenport, his seventh album since his solo breakout in 2002, the sounds on Blue Motel are an amalgam of '80s UK pop and West Coast yacht rock jams, sprinkled with cinematic flourishes, the four piece led by Bart Davenport is united in their affection for the sophisticated sounds of groups like Prefab Sprout and Style Council. Their jangly pop aesthetic, resplendent with choppy chorus tinted guitar, snappy snares, sax and bass is underlined with life trodden stories about day jobs, dating, financial insecurities, lost innocence and most prominently, time travel. Davenport's songs are delivered with a happy and sad sensibility reminiscent of Burt Bacharach. From the surreal yet humorous 'The House That Built Itself' to the sad surf music of 'Halloween By The Sea' or the romantic L.A. noir of the title track, Blue Motel arrives with a spoonful of tears, a nod and a wink.

Decent value for the money.

Was easy to assemble. Instructions were clear. Tools were supplied. It really needs to be assembled wherever you're going to be putting it as it can come apart easily when moved. The cross bars simply fit into open ended plastic 90 degree female ends. Overall for the money and to just have some division in a room it's a good value.

Garbage

This product is absolute garbage! It literally took all day to put it together and if the air conditioning blows on it the wrong way than the whole thing top over and it falls apart.
It’s not made of quality material and is very flimsy. The only reason I’m not returning it is because it’s too difficult to put together and I don’t wanna spend that much time trying to take it apart. Do not buy this!

Beautiful, sturdy, lightweight.

This screen is beautiful, lightweight and well-made. There is no splintering of the wood like I read in some reviews. The white fabric is thick and sturdy and even. The brass hinges seem to be high quality and were mounted precisely. This screen came right out of the box completely assembled. It was boxed well and there was no shipping damage.
I will enjoy using this as a backdrop when I am on Zoom and as a room divider in my studio.
I paid $75 for this and I think that is a bargain! I am very happy with this purchase.
