With a tradition of farming in the family dating back to 1890, the Dias family began with a “sea” of coffee plants, with hundreds cultivated across the land. This demanded a large workforce and the family offered housing to the many workers and their families. Nowadays it is much rarer to find this infrastructure but on Fazenda Recreio this approach continues, with 68 fully-furnished houses maintained on the estate.
