Throughout the last two decades Ripatti has explored every imaginable genre with over 20 albums under aliases such as Luomo and Sistol. A classically trained percussionist, the Finnish native has also performed as a part of the Moritz Von Oswald Trio and his own Vladislav Delay Quartet. He returns now under his Vladislav Delay moniker with a uniquely inspired album. Visa was a product of pure happenstance. In early 2014, Ripatti was denied entry to the United States and was forced to cancel an entire tour. Suddenly left with unhindered time and a surplus of creative energy, he was able to give birth to the album in a span of only two weeks. Ripatti describes this time as a moment in which "a valve broke open... and I collected what came out the pipes." Visa is Ripatti's first foray into ambient music in over ten years, yet it is not simply passive background music. Rather it is an active entity, a soundscape built from textured layers of evocative industrial noises and dream-like melodic loops. Clocking in at just under an hour and made almost entirely with analog hardware, the album was designed to be listened to at high volume and in full detail. Beatless and void of percussion, Visa's five cuts challenge the listener to follow Ripatti on his journey through time and musical machinery. Mastered and cut by Matt Colton at Alchemy.

Helped my husband get a good night's rest after surgery.

We bought this after my husband's heart surgery, and the doctors wanted him to sleep in an elevated position for a few weeks. Before this, he was just stacking some pillows behind his neck, which did not get him a comfortable night's rest. His first night using this was a game changer for him. It was the first time he was able to sleep through the night. It was just the right height, and just the right level of soft/firm. Once he's done with it, I think I'll steal it from him and use it for reading in bed. The little neck rest was super helpful too. Thanks to whoever invented this, and sells it at such a reasonable price.

Improved Sleep

I got this to help with my sleep since I can't lay flat. It works great. My back started hurting because of the angle but that's because I can't sleep on my back and slide down on my side. It's very comfy and works well for what I need it to do.

Very Comfortable
Great! I was a little concerned when it came so tightly shrink wrapped, but a day or two later and it’s in great shape. It’s actually pretty comfortable, good angle. It’s a good width and pretty long to accommodate all body types. I like it can be two heights. My adult kids said it felt like memory foam. I can add my own pillow too to further adjust to my liking. I occasionally get bad heartburn or sick where I need to sleep sitting up. This helps me do that in bed. I tried using it every night at first because I usually sleep with two large stacked pillows, but I’m a side sleeper and it eventually hurt my neck. So, not great if you sleep on your side. I also just lay a pillow case across it to keep clean. You can unzip and take off the cover for cleaning, but I almost never get stuff like that back on right. I got the dark gray cover and I like the soft feel. I’m glad I got it.

Lifesaver while recovering from rotator cuff surgery
This pillow was a lifesaver, it’s sturdy yet comfortable and can be used many different ways! Great price and size too! I like that when I opened it, there was no smell! If you’re looking for a wedge pillow, this one will do the job!!

It is a great wedge pillow, but takes time to get used to sleeping on your back

I bought this for post-surgery, I had to sleep on my back. Nearly impossible as a lifelong side sleeper. It is memory foam, and it does seem to run hot. But after a couple of weeks, I'm adjusting to it. Back sleeping is best for saving your face from AM wrinkles and mascara smears all over pillows. (Yes I know, I should take off mascara before bed, but....). Now that I've adjusted to sleeping with it, it stays on my bed and I wake up without the creases on my face and neck! So if you are buying pre-surgery, buy in advance to adjust to a new style of sleeping! I'm keeping it!
